And I know why. You’re coding it to roll a chance of cosmetic drop. Then if the cosmetic rolls one you already have, it drops nothing, rather than removing already found cosmetics from the possible loot pool.
This means the more you find, the more absolutely impossible it becomes to find the rest.
You need to fix this. Not every tiny little thing in this game needs to be an insane time sink.
How many more do you need? Including the Greater & non-greater armour pieces? It does seem a bit grindy after a while but I do know several people who have collected them all.

they dont NEED to fix this. YOU want them to “fix” this. on a side note, fixing something implies it wasnt working as intended. Cosmetics can be a grind at least in d4. every piece of gear is easily obtainable by now. i dont see a reason why even cosmetics should be easy to obtain now.
counter suggestion, lets remove the cosmetics you own from the drop pool, but lower the drop chance for the following cosmetics.
I have one Greater armor piece, the helm. I have a few random non-greater pieces and a couple of weapons relevant to my class. I’m not just unable to farm the ones I’m specifically looking for now, there are literally no drops at all for a long time now in an insane amount of runs. Likely because the same ones are rolling again and again when a cosmetic drop “would have” taken place.

no one is harassing you. you are posting on a public forums. i was asking you how many runs did you run, and what is your proof for these cosmetics to “actually” be impossible to drop.
What if they added all cosmetics to the vendor with a citadel coin cost? I think that’d be a better solution honestly.

Yes, same class. But I’m also target farming specific weapons transmogs. Admittedly though I’d feel better if ANYTHING dropped since nothing has dropped at all it in an insane amount of runs.
And yes I agree. They should all be purchasable if the drop rates are going to remain this way. I could have bought everything I wanted for how many coins worth of runs I’ve farmed already.

A lot actually. I only have like 3 pieces of the normal armor and 1 piece of the greater. What I’m specifically farming for is the Two Handed Mace cosmetic but again, I’d be happy to see anything drop at this point. I haven’t even gotten any cosmetics in the past couple weekly caches, which are supposed to have a much higher chance.
how much is the insane amount of runs you did?
id be up for a run actually right now btw, if its only 4 pieces you got. eventually some luck rubs off.
also nope, i dont feel the caches having a higher drop rate on that note.
This may sound dumb, are you on a class that can actually use a 2 handed mace? I was always concerned about the drop rates myself, kind of why I stopped doing it weekly as well.
Yes I am. And I’ve put in a more than reasonable amount of runs. Even if I hadn’t dropped the one I’m looking for yet, going almost a month with zero cosmetic drops with so many left still available, including weekly caches, and the sheer amount of runs I’ve done is pretty over the top.
so more than a reasonable amount, or an insane amount?
bottom line is, if you do your weekly citadel, you might not get your cosmetics in a season. even if you do 4 citadels per month
we still dont know how often you run the citadel per week. your focus on your weekly chest tells me you probably did 1-3 per week, but i can for sure be wrong.
I’m only missing Greater Gloves. Maybe it’s my mistake that I’m looking for them with 2 different classes - Spiritborn and Rogue (I don’t care about weapon transmogs).
I’ve collected 95k coins (counted before the goblin event).
I have no idea how many runs I’ve made, but I know that I spent at least 10 hours farming just those twin bosses in the middle wing and I never got anything there.
So even though many people advise farming cosmetics in the middle wing (twin bosses, tp to nexus, reset, and start over), I don’t recommend it.
I think I found transmogs more often while completing the entire citadel, as I found cosmetics not only in drops from minor and final bosses, but also in chests that are located between sections on the right and left wings.
I do all the events. I’ve farmed well over 100k (probably closer to 150k) citadel coins before the goblin event. I hit the challenge awhile ago. I really like Iggi’s idea. All the available cosmetics should be available at the Vendor. Especially, at the very least, all the various weapons for different classes. Why there’s only 3-4 each for a different class, I don’t understand.
I’ve noticed killing those Khazras in the maze sections doesn’t affect the cosmetic drop chance, so I don’t recommend doing that at all. The sooner you finish the citadel the better.
I also think (and I actually thought before the expansion launch that it would be like this) that cosmetics should simply be available for purchase at vendor (apart from farming). Then you could buy the missing few elements.
But of course, the success of the citadel has to come from somewhere.

Well I don’t think the drop rates should be super easy either, but it shouldn’t be like this. This is the main reward for investing heavy grind in this. The item cache is very lackluster, aside from the weekly ones. So realistically the rewards are the transmogs. If there’s people hella super grinding like me and getting nothing, takes away the fun in doing the task.
I mean we’re not talking about Mythics and 3-4GA Ancestrals here. We’re talking about some transmogs.
