Corrupted Data error when launching PTR

HI ALL

Trying to launch ptr and getting hit with Corrupted Data. I’ve reinstalled and run the scan program, but still having this issue.

Ideas?

Everyone seems to be having that. I also did a full reinstall, to no avail.

yup seems to be everyone, waiting on an update push hopefully

Same here. Glad it is just not me, because I just replaced my drive because it was failing.

Ditto. Glad to see I am not alone in this boat!

Same here, just for the record…

This was caught and corrected, but those who preloaded will need to reinstall to get the version with the fix.

In the Diablo 4 PTR install folder.
You can fix it without reinstall.
Open the .build.info file.

Change |3.1.0.73123 to |3.2.0.73123…
Should be near the end of the file.

You are the man. This just saved me a lot of time.

I tried, the launcher patched it back to 3.1 seconds later..

Hopefully before ptr runs out

Same for me. Then I did a complete unistall/reinstall and I got the same error.

I will go play another game and hopefully tomorrow this will be resolved.

There’s a community suggestion that modifying the current install by either adding or removing the high def assets is fixing it.

Have to ask, if that was the case why did the community have to experience/flag it? As well as an easier fix than reinstall? Kudos to Valet for the easy fix!

Worked like a charm Thanks

I got the same error, but I can access the game now. In Start Game Options, select Uninstall PTR and rename the PTR folder. Then reinstall the game and let it load completely. Start Game forces a graphics card driver version higher than 5.9, so those with older, outdated drivers are highly likely to have trouble accessing the game without updating their drivers.
