Corpse tendrils problems

Yes it is powerful, so much you need to use it in lots of builds actually BUT there is a big problem:
IT FEELS AWFUL! But why you ask? It groups, it slows, it adds vuln so it does only good? Yes it does BUT it has 2 problems:

  1. Sometimes (at least for console) you press the button and actually the skill does not go off. At the time I realize I often already used Corpse explosion so I am out of corpse.
  2. There is this weird delay between Tendrils grouping up and adding Vuln so you just stand there and wait before you can use your big spender.

Fixing these issues would already help Necro a lot and I would consider going back to the class.
This is on top of all the other Problem our guy has right now.

Both things you mentioned are not the main Problem for me.

I find it more frustrating that the Tendrils only work 1 out of 10 Times or so.

All my Tendrils, just stun the Mobs, make them Vulnerable and push them a BIT to the cast.

Then very rarely, ive got the Pull and 20-30 Mobs are on one Spot.

For me the Skill Description tells me, that the Pull is supposed to happen every time.
Nothing like “a Chance to pull the Mobs together”

It’s worse on PC since you need to put your pointer exactly on a corpse to explode it.

Its worse when dont push all minion. And its happen a lot.

Yea its range is too small, it doesn’t actually always group up the mobs far too often it just stuns them and the delay from casting it to it activates is too long.

yes a lot of issue with tendrils, why cant it just behave like corpse explosion which always trigger without any issue…

I’m dropping Tendrils, it’s too unreliable, and will try something else…

With the aspect it’s probably one of the best abilities in the game, but it would be nice if it worked all the way. I almost exclusively use it for the +40% crit +110% crit damage to mobs hit, plus vulnerable and slow for 6 seconds with a 7 seconds recast. The pull is so unreliable it’s useless, but that buff is silly.

I dunno why I just thought about it, but turn off advanced physics. Stuff on the very edge still doesn’t get centered, but they are pulled. It has worked significantly better for me. Could be placebo, but apparently, realism is not what I was looking for.

I hate using tendrils because they never work. They either stun mobs without gripping them at all, or they just boop them like 1 inch. I never have this problem with Raiment of the Infinite.

The pulling from it is also weak compare to sorc teleport or void aspect for blight. maybe stunned mob is not pulled?

I just want the thing to pull mobs in like it’s bloody supposed to. Getting real tired of random ranged enemies that are decidedly within the range of the draw-in effect moving a fraction of an inch and getting stunned.

I just created a necro for the first time and the only frustrating part is the tendrils. I guess we can make a lot more noise on reddit since we can reach more players.
