Could we give corpse targeting a bit of area where you don’t need to pixel-exactly hover the corpse for the skill to work? Just highlight a corpse when the mouse is close enough will be a huge QoL improvement.
Additionally, I play with Blighted Corpse Explosion it makes it really bad not being able to see the corpses and with this need for accuracy to target them I end moving the mouse over the black clouds waiting for the corpse highlight, is really bad.
Just let us highlight corpses with a bit more generous collision detection, I feel like playing a FPS moving the mouse everywhere for pinpoint accuracy on corpses…

i was thinking this myself over weekend , the corpse targeting could do with being loosened up a bit ,
can get hectic in some fights and very hard to find / target corpses

100% agree, it feels very clunky.

I agree, I was playing with a controller after having leveled on mouse and keyboard and being able to just hold down and button and let the game auto target corpses feels better than trying to find the right pixel while dodging enemy attacks.

Corpse target was okay at early level but is a pain in higher level due to various reason:
- Elite have so many AoE that you need to move away and the corpse you want to explode are at the edge of the screen or off screen due to the zoom distance is too short
- Corpse are not visible in some AoE effect esp if you use shadow CE
- Large boss or large objective makes it harder to target for the same reason as 1
- The mouse cursor does not allow any buffer and you must hover over the corpse exactly

Agree, the faster the combat is, the more annoying is to miss a corpse target for a few pixels, would be nice to have auto selected the closest corpse to the mouse.

Thank you!!! I was thinking to myself while playing that I cannot be the only one who sees this. D3 had it perfect. The cursor accuracy makes it hard enough. Something just feels really off with the cursor accuracy and corpse “hit boxes.” Booted up D3 and it was like butter.
Its just so choppy in D4

Meanwhile if I hold down CE button on my 360 controller, it will spin my character automatically to cast on every corpse around me prioritizing ones with enemies near, or I can aim the joystick to get specific corpses too. Combined with howl from below gloves to make explosions then chase enemies so randomly popped corpses can be in narnia and still hit an enemy, it’s way smoother than the clunky mouse targetting.
Controllers have their problems, but it is always funny when the devs found a solution for cross platform play that involves making the controller superior in some ways lol.
