Corpse pruning in game issues

Al the talk of minions got me thinking. Is anyone else having a severe issue with the game being too aggressive in pruning the amount of corpses on the screen? I can’t count how many times I’ve been smashing raise skeleton on a corpse only to have it cleaned up by the game on the next update and wind up missing priest activations.

IMHO, the cleanup routine needs to allow more corpses on screen or prioritize player input over what it wants to do.

This is happening cos of corpse limit I guess, which is something around 15-20 at the time. Thus looks like they disappear quicker. Reason could be minions spawning more corpses around targets or not quick enough corpse consumption by skills.

Right, I’m finding it highly annoying to be clicking on corpses wondering why the raise dead animation won’t go off and suddenly the corpse just disappears with no effect. I might have to mention this on macros channel and see if he can send a note over to the devs to get this looked at. It’s not breaking, but is it wholly annoying

I know we have Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul but why not make it to where “Raise Skeleton” will function automatically if there are corpses near your minions. This way, there’s no spamming your cursor all over your screen looking for corpses to “Raise Skeleton” just to get the priest buff. I know we have very few buttons but there’s literally no reason or benefit having to micromanage a short-term buff when it can function automatically like Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul.

Also, if people are concerned that it will make Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul obsolete then just make to where when Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul is equipped that it will disable the auto part of “Raise Skeleton”. There’s no reason why Blizzard has to make a game as simple as D4 appear complex when there’s only a handful of buttons to press.

Yeah it’s really noticeable this season, especially in Hordes where corpses are spread over a large area. I notice that quite often I’m searching for a corpse. Is there a client side setting I can change to make them stay longer?

That’s why I like running Howl from Below and BCE. EVery few seconds I’ll stop running and just spam BCE before running around like I’m a Protoss carrier again.

i only notice this in multiplayer, so in helltides.

Not noticed it being an issue when i do dungeons as i play solo.

It’s been a huge issue for me in both hordes and nmd with minions running off on their own and generating corpses off screen, which gets my onscreen ones pruned.

Last night I was literally running around in hordes trying to find where my minions left the corpses quite often. I actually starting to really hate the new minion aggro ai.

they should just add a priority system to minion AI, so keep them aggressive, but prioritize enemies closer to the necromancer.
