Corpse explosion/shadowblight darkness

I find that I always die (and everyone with me) due to how dark the shadowblight stuff is when it stacks on the ground … can this be made more transparent perhaps? for everyone? anything? I cannot see when I am standing in posions or fire or what bad GTFO red circles pop up or anything…

it is just to dang dark.

The only way to play with BCE late game is infinimist build, otherwise yeah you are 100% right, you can’t see the effects to dodge

From what they said in the Campfire chat thing, it’s being worked on. It doesn’t look like it’s in this latest patch though, which is very disappointing.

EDIT: I stand corrected it is fixed! Looks much better, as I can actually see now!

And appears neither is the black river unique fix, still not properly working with blighted CE

Must be insanely hard to revert BCE graphics to what it does in the beta. Or to make it scale off shadow instead of physical.

Edit : looks like, even though it wasn’t said in the patchnote, BCE is graphically fixed. And for what i can see, there is a scaling of BCE from shadow damage.

For the mean time, i will continue to use Low FX since it seems to lessen the darkness of the blight effect.

Might be, it seems it changed after some hefty optimizations tied to that effect and very likely might require direct changes to rendering pipeline, not just particular VFX.

I think it’s amazing that they didn’t fix this visual glitch in the skill. It is impossible to see anything on the screen.

Seems less intrusive after the patch. Nothing in the notes, but doesn’t seem to be blocking out my entire screen now.

Nod, does seem better

I can confirm that as of 6/27 patch, BCE visual has been changed. The mist/fog particle effect seems to have been drastically reduced in it’s opacity or removed entirely. what is left is the ring that has a slight glow effect and a bit of ground distortion visual (similar to poison effects). You can stack multiple BCE and still see the ground.
Edit: it also seems they may have limited the number of them that can be visually seen on screen. I’m noticing rings quickly disappearing if more than 5-6 are on screen, rather than the slow fade out they usually do after running their course.

And for what i can see, there is a scaling of BCE from shadow damage.

Sounds like serious copium you are snorting there bud. There is no change in scaling what so ever from damage over time, shadow damage over time, and shadow damage on blighted corpse explosion. Tested just now, still only physical scaling it. Evident in the numbers and visual output.

This is why you home brew your build kiddos, way to much bad info out there!

On the topic. Someone going to respond from the dev team to specify why something tagged as shadow doesnt benefit from shadow damage? I see it there clear as day, we all do, we are not blind, surely its not a hard fix no? Is this intended? If so how about chiming in? Do i need to sprinkle a few expletives to get the moderation eye on me? Seemingly the 10 other threads havent gotten a response. I could always start filing bugs with a bot if you like.

They fixed it any bonestorm.

Wellll? We’re waiting!

How do you expect us to craft a build if we dont know if the current very specific broken tooltip mechanics are going to remain wrong or if its subject to change? Someone wanna get off their as$ here? Im sure if I did this to you guys on a release you’de be up my as$ in my in seconds. So how about some courtesy? M’Kay?
