Copy-Paste Item Information Feature Proposal

Hello Blizzard Team,

I hope this message finds you all well. I would like to propose a feature that I believe would greatly benefit our community: the ability to use the CTRL + C command to copy item information directly in-game.

As we know, the Diablo community is incredibly engaged and passionate, always seeking ways to enhance the gaming experience. Many players, myself included, often discuss builds, strategies, and share item information. Currently, exchanging this information is somewhat cumbersome, as it requires us to manually rewrite or take screenshots of the items in question.

Enabling item information copy with CTRL + C would open up a plethora of possibilities for the development of third-party tools. With this functionality, we could easily share item information on forums, social media, and messaging apps, enhancing collaboration and discussion within the community.

Moreover, developers could create apps and websites that analyze and compare this information, helping players make more informed decisions about their builds and gameplay strategies. This would not only enrich the gaming experience but also foster the creation of an even more united and collaborative community.

We have this same functionality in Path of Exile and it would be great to see it here in Diablo IV. :grinning:

This is an example when I do CTRL + C to copy an item in Path of Exile:

Item Class: Body Armours
Rarity: Rare
Hate Pelt
Crusader Chainmail
--------
Armour: 443 (augmented)
Energy Shield: 92 (augmented)
--------
Requirements:
Level: 63
Str: 64
Int: 64
--------
Sockets: B-R-G-G-R-R
--------
Item Level: 83
--------
67% increased Armour and Energy Shield
+65 to maximum Life
Regenerate 40 Life per second
+24 to maximum Mana
+41% to Fire Resistance
28% increased Stun and Block Recovery
--------
Corrupted

Thank you for considering this suggestion.

Not a bad suggestion, but I would suggest the current work around would be to use the blizzard API and just pull your equipment directly. All the D4 stuff is available, Blizzard just hasn’t made a armory page yet though.

But others have: You can do this on a site like d4armory (.io) and see all your characters stats and equipement and just copy paste from there. It usually up to date if you login.

Yes, but this involves consuming APIs, it involves permissions on the account and characters…

been doing that for a bit to check if someone even played the game here at times :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
