Controller support

Will Diablo 4 have ps5 controller support?

Yes, plenty of people played in the betas with a PS5 controller.

Well the Ps5 Dual Sense edge (the pro $200 controller) did not work in the last beta for me or my wife. I posted here , on D4 discord and on Twitter and nobody wants to touch the subject offically. This is why people have mistrust of the Microsoft buy out of Blizzard/Activision. I have my fingers crossed it will work at launch but I watched Rod hold up a xbox elite 2 controller today as promotion , you dont see a red Dual sense edge promotion controller. Worried we wasted $400 on new controllers for this game. The lack of feed back on the subject is deafening.

yes, and unlike most idiot devs who leave the stupid default xbox buttons on the UI, ATVI actually knows its a PS controller and puts the shapes

It doesn’t even register a regular PS4 controller unless it’s wired and that’s absurd! I really hope they fix this issue cause not everyone likes those dam Xbox controllers…

I decided to upgrade with a dual sense edge, only to find out I can’t play Diablo 4 on PC using it. Blizzard, why has this forum gotten no support?

DS Edge compatibility is NOT the fault of Diablo 4 (or most other games). The fault lies in the way Sony created the DS Edge software to interact with PC, and specifically only the DS Edge

There’s nothing you can do about it other than to use 3rd party software (DSX) to create a (compatible) virtual controller, wait for Sony to update the DS Edge with real PC compatibility (this won’t happen), or to exchange it for a standard Playstation controller

The DS Edge is compatible with every game I play other than Diablo 4. Fifa 23 works. Warzone 2 works. No emulators just plug into the pc and play. So how is this not a problem specific to Diablo 4?

I don’t own a DS Edge, but in the case some people experienced issues with that controller with several games, & on the other hand you only had issues with D4 doesn’t mean your experience is significant enough about the real cause of the issue… see what I mean?
