Controller function is unacceptable

Are the devs going to take an honest look at how skills like teleport, leap, hydras, etc, function on controller? It is not possible to use these skills to their full potential on controller.

For instance, teleport on controller is embarrassingly bad. It moves your character no farther than a dodge, which is absolutely useless and insulting to console players and controller players on PC. I have been sticking to melee classes as a result of the sub-par controller design. This will kill the game for me eventually if it’s not addressed. It is super unfun and bothersome. It’s downright unplayable to be honest.

I know I’m not the only controller player who feels this way. Please Blizzard, make controllers as viable as M&K - or just give consoles M&K support (not doing so is a mistake). At the very least we need to be able to control our spellcast distance and direction with the right stick.

I simply lost the desire to play with the sorceress and the barbarian because of the horrible movement skills they have in controller.
And today there was a live from the Devs talking about the game problems and they didn’t even touch on this subject, super
disappointing.

Yeah, I’m right there with you. I’ve repeatedly reached out to the devs on twitter for comment and they just ignore me. Console players have payed full price for a half finished and unplayable product.

At this point I think I may open a ticket with blizzard and also contact microsoft (I’m on xbox) and let them know that blizzard is selling an unpolished and unfinished product on their platform. I’m also going to let Microsoft know that blizzard refuses to add mouse and keyboard support for consoles after a huge outcry from the community. Microsoft and Xbox are VERY big on accessibility for gamers, especially the disabled. Some of us have told blizzard that we can’t play for extended periods or at all on controller and Blizz basically responded “lol don’t care”. With Microsoft about to buy Activision-Blizzard, I think this is our best option.

Maybe you’ll consider contacting your console manufacturer as well and telling them the same.

Seriously, why are you guys simping so hard for Microsoft? They’re not going to grant your wish either, regardless of any merger.

Teleport distance is set to maximum, like it was in D3. But unlike in D3 you can at least still use skill even if there’s no space to use it. In D3 it was really annoying to skip in annoying maps because if there wasn’t space for maximum distance teleport = no teleport.

If you see “dodge” like teleports then you’re hitting wall, pillar, any unbreakable object.

No it’s not brotha. Firstly, there is no maximum teleport distance. On PC you can teleport to anything you can see - so people with widescreens can port insanely far. And on console the distance is super short everytime, no matter your surroundings.

Add Rogue’s Shadow Step to the list… it doesn’t even have the decency to prioritize an elite in the area, all I can do is spam it and stun a random minion in the area.

Well, shadow step always takes me to the enemy I want :man_shrugging:
