Constricting Tendrils issues

For a change in play, I switched one of the paragon boards to the constricting tendrils board. I did a normal open world run with Poison Creeper OFF as a test and I do not think the tendril’s proc’d once. I also did a low level nightmare dungeon with the same results. HOWEVER, during the boss fight in the NM dungeon I feel like the tendril’s proc’d 100% or close (weird). Although I do not have the highest "lucky chance, I feel like I have the appropriate gear (e.g., Vasily’s Payer, Aspect of the Ursine Horror, etc.) for a pulverize/creeper build, and other “lucky chance” skills/items I utilize (e.g., butchers’ cleaver, earthen might) seem to proc as anticipated. Is this user error or is pulverize just a bad way to utilize this passive ability?

Yeah it works, but it has a very low chance. Pulverize is only like 25% LH and Constricting Tendrils only fires 15% of that time, so you only have a ~4% chance for it to happen on any given Pulverize. It works better with Basic Attacks, Wolves, and Ravens due to their high LH chance (it almost feels made for Ravens because snared enemies are stuck in their swarm).

companions don’t have the nature magic tag unless i think you use the storm wolves unique (edit: nm that was a bug ’ * Fixed an issue where Storm’s Companion would erroneously display the Wolves skill as a Storm and Nature Magic Skill on the skill’s tooltip.'). the 120% of base damage, wondering if that’s the damage of the hit you actually did, e.g. if you overpowered, would the poison do more damage? or if its just 120% of your nature’s magic base damage.

Forgot Tendrils only procs off of Nature Magic, sorry. As far as I know when something says “base damage” it means the damage you’d do before modifiers (I could be wrong [again]). Tbh it’s just not a very good legendary node.
