Its been 4 days and they havent even posted about the issues or a possible fix… which means the green hairs are hopefully working 15 hour shifts to fix what they intentionally did because they dislike gamers… how can you have green hair people working on a game and hate the people playing the game? Mite lead to technical issues…
They should focus on D4 requirements, like on Steam, it is said “minimum: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660 or Intel® Arc™ A380 or AMD Radeon™ R9 280”, “recommended: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970 or Intel® Arc™ A750 or AMD Radeon™ RX 470”.
It’s not writted: “minimum: a streamer gaming PC and be a streamer yourself, or else you can still watch the streamers”.
The more time passes, the less I like the direction D4 is taking. I’ve uninstalled it because of PC crashes, as I don’t want to lose my data. I’m not sure if I’ll reinstall it anytime soon. I just check the forum from time to time; at least this part is still working.
lol Agreed. But sometimes i wonder if there is a little collusion with game companies and PC hardware/Computers. Like with consoles a new game comes out just about when a new console comes out everyone wants to play the new game but…It will only run on the new console.
I had horrible frequent crashes to desktop at launch. With hotfix 3 it’s definitely gotten more stable. I played a few hours last night before I had a crash.
For me what’s hysterical is the recent crashes happen when I’m not doing anything. Just using my phone or away.
So the issue is still there but it has gotten less with recent patches. I hope they can fix it soon. Game itself I’m loving the campaign.
Just a general tip for amd gpu users. I repair units as a hobby/side gig and AMD drivers are notorious for being burrowed away somewhere on the boot drive. And I get a big spike of amd gpu customers every few ‘game ready’ driver updates. Shoulda seen my test bench after the CP2077 dlc released.
Driver conflicts rarely cause system wide problems because most of the driver suite doesn’t change all that much between releases.
Also DDU is a third party driver uninstaller that just does a much better job detecting old drivers than the uninstaller adrenaline has built in.
Am on Windows 11 24H2 if that helps, 7800X3D, 64GB RAM, 4080 Super, game on M.2, crashes constantly unless I run on on the lowest possible settings. Drivers are up to date, WIndows up to date. Have tried restarting, repairing game, running with -disableds, crossplay and cross chat on and off, raytracing off, DLSS on and off, the only workaround for me at the moment is run it in the low preset and then I can play for hours with no crashes. Also this is the only game or program which does this, everything else runs fine.
My son and I have the exact same PC (I built them both) besides the graphics card, I have a 4080, he has a 7900XTX, hes crashed like 4x total ive crashed about 15x. Before this expansion, we never crashed in about 800 hours each.
Its something to do with the new expansion and the associated code. If you were fine before Monday and started crashing after, there is nothing you did wrong.
It crashes randomly anywhere, anytime, even at login. I can’t play more then a few minutes, it doesn’t matter what I do, it crashes. If I do the campaign it always resets the quest if it crashes after a boss fight.
The lack of devs communication about that begins to bug me now that the weekend comes. I can’t play and I can’t refund. Cool, innit?
Im using a memory dump program, and still DC 9/10 time porting to town. These lazy devs have had 4.5 season of this BS and still wont fix it or even acknowledge it. Pathetic that we pay for a game that makes you lose elixir , portals, and time getting back into the game, and these scrubs wont even say a thing about it…
Yeah, add me to the list too. I can’t get 5 min in without a crash to desktop, no errors, the game is just like “nope” and quits. It got much worse after the latest hotfix for what it’s worth. Will just play something else until a new hotfix.
Edit: Also no issues prior to this, except at D4 launch when they were dealing with a memory leak.
Totally sick of game freezing/crashing every 1 out of 3 teleports. Taking a potion is worthless now, since doing a quest line where you are TP’ing around, or joining friends in any endeavor means those potions last about 5-10 minutes usually.
If you aren’t going to fix the problem, or it will take time, at LEAST modify the game where potions stay with character for at least 10 min offline time so when I come back I still have the pot active. I’m using pots to help with exp gain, but it’s at the point, I don’t bother (and I can’t afford to keep chugging a new pot every 3-5 minutes).
Also while playing I out of the blue get extreme log where I can’t move and my screen is a slide show. Even trying to move a piece of equipment from inventory to a particular spot in stash is an exercise in frustration.
I have to either exit game (leaving game to character screen doesn’t solve the problem) or sometimes TP’ing to another zone works but again then I risk black screen of death again.
The game is presently unplayable in an enjoyable manner with the crashing, unbearable lag hitting out of the blue and having to rejoin group, retake pots, lose place in quest line.
