Only today, in the past few hours, the game has been unplayable due to constant lag, rubberbanding and a few disconnects.
Restarted PC, VPN off. It was running great this morning, now it's running very bad. I hear my PC fans go ballistic when in a dungeon.
Anyone else experiencing this or it's from my end? Any tips on how to make it better?

I am rubberbanding/lagging/input lag really bad in the past day or so. I am in the process of reimstalling to see if the game files had been corrupted. Wil post back with results.
Update- reinstalled, first NMD was perfect, then the second one started stuttering again. Not as bad as before but noticeable.
Tried infernal horde, similar thing. 1st one was perfect, then subsequent ones had stutter. It seems it is a D4 issue as I have no issue with other games. Maybe a memory leak?

Everything was just about perfect before the S5 update. Right after I have been lagging non stop. I checked my connection side of things and everything is working as it should. In game: lag, freezing, rubber banding, sliding and invisible walls.
Update: I had my ISP install a new router and modem just to make sure no problems on my side, and still the same lagging non stop.

mine started late last night. Started with an error saying unable to retrieve data. Have uninstalled and re-installed twice. Now its super laggy and freezing up, along with DC every time I try and TP. So I can play on my eternal character no issue. Try to play season and constant crash and lag

Ever since I downloaded the latest update, I’ve had serious rubber banding. I can’t even play the game. So frustrating!

The problem is world wide, and have been on and off since launch, and the constant reconnecting to Diablo 4 when the game ran fine

Is completely unplayable right now, has been for the past 48 hours where I am.
Can’t see other players in the towns and huge latency spikes. I guess this is from the new season and a free weekend? Frustrating.

All day, I have tried 6 times today, get to a loading screen and the game freezes and disconnects me, was perfectly fine last season…

Same here. It’s infuriating. It disconnects in the middle of a dungeon or hell tide.

@Blizzard any update on this? It has started again tonight. It seems to be happening during peak EST times. However it ha only started since 8/8/24. Is it tied to the free weekend people were talking about?

Hello everyone, I’m sorry to hear about the issues that you are having now. It actually is more widespread and has been going on a long time. For me it actually started back in Season 3 after the Chinese New Year event ended. For others it started after season 4 started. Here is a link to the thread I’m on. It has some solutions that might work. Some have worked for others and for some like me, the fixes were just temporary.
I hope that one of the fixes works for you. Oh, it’s a kind of long thread, my fault because I keep adding to it to keep it going.

Same , especially when I launch infernal horde dungeon I get kicked 4 out of 5 times for disconnect client error. I’m tired of farming compasses and losing em like this

Same here. I lost my high level Season character this morning due to this stupid lag. About to take on the helltide and froze and next thing i know I died. What a waste!
