since launch of season 14, ive had constant fenris crashes, all at various point sometimes at loading screen, sometimes at character selection, mid fight, mid npc dialogue, inventory. ive checked my bios, reinstalled my graphic driver, disabled my antivirus firewall, check and made sure my cpu and gpu are not overclocking, diabled all overlay programs. Is there a solution that i am missing?

I had maybe 3 crashes last 3 seasons, now it is constant.
i get maybe at most 20 mins of play before crash, it was never this frequent before

Same issue here. Random Fenris error crash to desktop. In the shop, in inventory, in battle, at the blacksmith, nothing consistent except for the sudden drop to desktop. No warning, nothing I can point to as a cause except poor coding. Very frustrating though.

Same here… It keeps also saying it has detected 13th or 14th gen intel and I should update to latest bios… It worked fine on the same CPU before without any crashes. Only started happening after S14 patch dropped.
Yesterday i played 6 hours with only single crash, today less then two and it already crashed
So why not upgrade to slow the degradation of your CPU? It’s going to die eventually, but you can make it last longer with the microcode updates.
The problem is that if they have been running that old microcode for this long, the damage is already done.
My Issue sslightly different. Not crashing - just can’t enter the game! Fenris box comes up asking me to describe what I was doing when it happened….
I have 13600K not overclocked as baseline turned out to be enough for everything I play. CPUs affected were pretty much only 13700 and above and I have not read of single 13600K being dead when this was still relevant.
The voltage sits below 1.3V even under load which (the voltage spikes above 1.3V) was one of the causes of degradation and eventual death.
This was non issue before even for D4, so I dont understand why its magically started crashing now and specifically with this error.
I will eventually update the bios to latest but at the moment its bigger risk to update than to keep it running as is as Gigabyte changed lot of stuff and I dont remember what all I have changed in BIOS apart from XMP profiles
What you have to keep in mind is that BIOS updates are released by Motherboard manufacturers to target vulnerabilities and compatibility issues. Resolving that microcode issue tends to extend the life of those 13th- and 14th-gen CPUs by preventing improper voltage from being sent to them.
I get the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mindset, but I would strongly encourage you to keep your BIOS up to date to mitigate unforeseen issues.
