Did you check if your game is install in your HDD drive? It needs to be install in a SSD.

this only started happening yesturday morning and i have been playing since early access

I noticed you didn’t answer the question.

Do you run the game from a HDD?

This has been a cause of the issue for a few players already, for whatever reason, they were actually installing the game on a HDD, when the requirements clearly state it requires an SSD.

Regardless if it has worked prior to now is irrelevant. If its on a HDD, move it to an SSD and see if that cures your issue.

Now.

If you are already on an SSD, that’s great. Now we have to consider if there is another reason for it being affected.

From what I have been able to see after reading multiple threads about this, is that for whatever reason, a change in the recent patches has this effect that if your system performance is below a certain point, it causes teleportation to disconnect you.

This could be while entering a dungeon, teleporting to town, sometimes even starting the game.

Its like the game has a shorter timeout allowance, and if your system response isn’t quick enough, you get bonked.

At least that’s how it appears.

But I have nothing to back that up, other than people running the game on HDD vs SSD have been numerous and changing to SSD fixed their problem. For now anyway.

Just saying.

appreciate the input. something easily overlooked or simple ignorance stemming from lack of curiosity or practical use for the knowledege

to lend some credence to your hypothesis i most often disconnect thru warping going into kyovashad. so trying to handle the community is too much …
so i tend to try to avoid hubs
and on that note warping to a backwater 2 npc location (thats normally ok) will generally cause me to dc because its the advent of a legeion event so my old cpu cant handle the influx

I’ve had the same issue the entire day today. Made a thread. Nothing. Looks like it’s been happening for some for a couple of days. I’ve had no issues since the beta. Happens anytime I fast travel or load into a new zone, when I can actually spawn in. Wonder how it’ll be tomorrow with Steam and Season launch?.. It’s more like a long term rental agreement more so than actually owning a product.

I’ve have similar problems all day. Any time I change areas (from teleports or just entering a legion event), I lag out. I can’t move my character. I can’t talk to vendors. I can’t even log out. It’s annoying.

No Technical support, in a Technical Support Forum. Absolute Brilliance. Same Exact issue carries through for over 48 hours and absolutely nothing anywhere, as if : it’s not really happening.

“Please sah, can I play my game sah?”

This started happening to me about 3 days ago. Completely random disconnects. It’s not even when I teleport or enter dungeons. It’s anywhere anytime. I have it installed on a SSD and my system performance appears to be just fine. My PC more than meets the minimum specs for this game. With season 2 starting in a few hours, this really needs to be fixed.

Aaand it’s still going on with my old eternal realm characters, but not when I created a new one… well I didn’t know it was a new eternal realm character and that the season had been delayed. So I’m just about ready to wash and walk… again. If I create a seasonal character when the season actually launches and the same thing happens, I’m out. This dealer and these cards just ain’t it.

it’s affecting the new eternal realm character as well. Same thing, over 48 hours now.

This is happening to me too. Constant game freezing any time I try to town portal or enter a new area.

Installed on SSD, same issue. This is on Blizzard’s end. Not the users. When they stop fishing their server hardware out of the bargain bin we’ll all be better off.

Just started playing and I’m getting disconnects as well.

Happening on series x as well

I gave up after a couple days. If I can’t play tomorrow morning then I’ll just free up the space for something else. I’m over it.

Getting dc’d constantly when changing zones, entering dungeons, teleporting etc. Basically any zone swap. After getting dc’d I get character busy for several minutes. The game is unplayable for me.

I get “lagged out” any time I change zones, whether through teleport or running to the new zone, or even just entering a dungeon or cellar. I can’t do anything. Spells don’t work, can’t get on or off the horse, can’t talk to NPCs, can’t even log out of the game. I have to force close the game (PS5). And then when I try to log back in, I get error code 395002 about my account not finishing saving. I’ve played the game about an hour in the last three days but I’ve had zero issues playing the game for 6-8 hours straight prior.

I hope Blizzard fixes this issue soon. In the meantime, to all those that are loyal but frustrated, I hear Baldur’s Gate, Final Fantasy, and Torchlight are pretty fun.
