Conjuration passive skill question

What’s the point of this useless passive?
I run 2 hydras, and a full flame build. Non meta, at level 81, and I simply can not for the life of me understand how anyone would choose to waste 3 points in gaining a 1% boost (don’t know what the 2nd and 3rd levels do) but I doubt they ramp up to 10% and 50% to make it worthwhile.

So at 6 points (if you have the +3 amulet), if you have 2 Hydras, an Ice Blades, and Lightning Spear active, you have 4 Conjurations.

So 4 x 6 is 24x dmg.

If you have 6 active Conjurations, it becomes 6 x 6. That’s 36x dmg.

How could you even cast everything quickly enough.
Casting is SOOOOoooo slow.
Literally during inferno my biggest damager is meteor… 8 seconds of inferno means TWO meteor casts. Or 2 hydra and a firewall.
Also how am I supposed to make a build out of all summons? The drops I look at don’t seem to support it, but that could be lack of holding on to items that don’t work with my build.

The attack speed in the gloves helps but I don’t think casting speed is the main issue with Conjuration. I’d say it’s more about surviving and outlasting the mobs. Why? You don’t wanna be that Conjurer that all he does is cast Hydra and hide two screens away. When you meet teleporting mobs or a Butcher chasing you, you’ll be insta dead. Also outlasting the mobs means your Hydras burn damage will be more effective. Mobs chasing you (you’re the bait) while the Hydras kill the mobs.

This one is after patch 1.1.1. Not much difference except I feel tankier than before. I still die from being careless

Yeah don’t take it unless you are running a dedicated Conjuror build. That build stacks CDR so they can slam Conjurations constantly (CDR per hit from Ice Blades is great).
