Confused about aspect of the great feast damage

Edit 3: Turns out you have to be in combat for the aspect to apply, so while in town the damage buff won’t apply. As far as it feeling worse to me, idk I’m doing pit so probably just imagining things (high level pit is always hard)

So aside from the fact that it took me 22hrs to actually get the aspect (from the vendor in the den) it doesn’t seem to be working correctly.

Since it took me so long to get it I’ve been using aspect of inner calm instead. I have a max non-GA inner calm (17/17) which gives +20% damage, and then +60% after standing still for 3 seconds.

I finally got great feast and was ready to not have to stand still constantly to maximize my damage output. The buff from great feast (4/16) on my amulet is +50%, so should be better than the base buff from inner calm, slightly less than the 3x. But once I started using it, I noticed it felt worse. So I checked my attack power and I’m getting less of a buff from great feast than the base inner calm (no 3x) - what gives?

Applied to my amulet:

Great Feast (4/16)

  • attack power 14,979

Inner calm (17/17)

  • base - attack power 17,899
  • 3x - attack power 23,741

Edit: I’m using the spirit wave necro build from maxroll, no minons. And above stats are with the aspects applied to the same amulet.

Edit 2: Just tried dismissing mercenaries (maybe they count as minions?) but no change. Also confirmed that with and without aspect of the great feast the “All Damage” stat doesn’t change.

Ignore attack power. Go to the dummies and look at the raw numbers. That is your best indicator.

the issue is your “stats tab” does not show all multipliers so it can be very missleading. Just ignore it and know inner calm is a 10-30%x while great feast is a 45%x, unfortunately this is the only real way to make these decisions.
