Anyone know how this dagger works?
For instance, must you choose the combo points specialization to make use of it?
The way it reads, I interpret it as a separate damage buff when attacking with it
Any thoughts are welcome,

It’s a separate modifier. I personally do combine it with combo points.
It doesn’t make sense when you combine it with Combo Points. As I can understand from what was written, the item itself will create combo Points, then Core skill uses them.
I tested and I saw nothing, no effect. So, I kept them in the stash for now
It only applies a bonus in conjunction with 3 combo points being spent for the damage part.
The free points either don’t function without combo points, or the UI doesn’t show without them selected.
If it’s a raw upgrade, I guess you could throw one on until you get literally anything else of similar strength to either imprint/overwrite, but if you’re not running combo points, it’s pretty much worthless.
