I havent played since release and season 1, it was a time where you had to actually move from monster damage and affixes or they would kill you even with high resists, you couldnt just stand in pools of fire and ice.
I enjoy the game, its far too easy and plays like a console game now, but…i enjoy it. What is the expectation for fun factor and replay factor after someone completes a season in a week? Say even 2 weeks?
I want to keep playing, what replay value has been added to continue after completing the season?
That’s highly subjective. If you want to push your build to the highest, push the Pit.

Try different classes. They all have very different gameplay, and some have unique aspects as well. For example, with the Necromancer (Necro), you can play a blood necro (very powerful with some overpower combos), a classic necro summoner (it’s fun to see skeletons destroying everything by themselves), or a fast and deadly reaper necro (shadow skills). In the Rogue class, you can play a classic ranger, a ninja-style melee rogue (blade shift and flurry), a trap and grenades rogue, a poison rogue…
I’m currently playing a barbarian (barb) now, which is quite fun too. The good part of this season is the tons of new uniques items that change your build, to get something unseen in previous seasons. I hope they will keep those new uniques in next seasons.
I agree it’s a bit too easy, at least until you do end-game dungeons with more than 10 levels above you.
