When I sign off my dungeons progress is no longer saved with the green checkmark to know you completed it. This is extremely frustrating and the fact there is no offline mode either. I love Diablo 4 I dont want to have to return it please help.

Same here. Playing on Xbox Series X.
I noticed this issue a day or two ago on PC. I’ve done a few of the dungeons and the little green checkmark that shows I have completed it disappears when I log out. I have a friend playing on the PS5 who says their check marks still show up.
Couldn’t agree more this is really damn annoying - I have an Xbox series s - completed 3 dungeons yesterday which took a good 2 hours or so it SAID I’ve completed them at the end of the dungeon, I left and it had the green tick - I log off - log back in tonight and the green tick is gone!!! WHY IS IT NOT SAVING every few minutes etc…. It’s pointless even playing the game if I can’t progress
My dungeons are also not saving.

Yeah, they’ve never saved for me past my next login. They stay there while during that play session, but once I log out the checkmark is gone. PC and PS5.

I’m having this issue on PS5 since two days (3 different dungeons). I don’t have all day to play so this is annoying as hell and frankly inexcusable. Unbelievable

Still having the same problem. Two days in a row or playing, getting check marks, logging off, and then having to redo those same dungeons the next log in. Did anyone get any help with this?

I think that this behaviour is normal as long as the dungeon’s description doesn’t show the aspect that you must have claimed after clearing it.
The dungeons that have not been cleared yet have a treasure chest in the bottom right corner on their icon on the map. After you clear the dungeon, it turns into a green check but after you log off and log back again the green check is gone but so is the treasure chest and the aspect from the description of the dungeon.
Now, if you can still see the treasure chest or the aspect after you have cleared it, that would be strange.

I’m trying to complete all the regions and side dungeons is one of those categories but if I can’t track which ones I’ve done, how can I meet the goal? The system is broken!

This isn’t hard.
Completed dungeons will no longer have a chest icon.
Completed dungeons by character will not have a chest icon or orange dot.
If all you see is just a dungeon grate, you have completed it.
The checkmark has NEVER stayed after leaving and starting a new game session, kinda like it does when you do bounties in D3.
If you clear a dungeon and complete it the first time, and go to a different character that hasn’t done it, it will have a round orange (or yellow) dot instead of a chest. That means that character hasn’t done it. That also means if the chest icon is not there, even if the orange/yellow dot is there, the power affix has already been earned and that character doesn’t have to do the dungeon to use it.
Simple.
