Back to Last Epoch for me.
Same, I thought there would be more content, but it’s just the new end-game boss and monos again… Waiting for S5.

i potentially could get to the endgame but naaah man
and i think melee sucks in last epoch
just from a mechanic stand point 
no fun ? = no play
no point in really playing any games anymore. its all the same stuff…
kill, loot, flex, repeat.
The only differences are art , camera view and story and most stories are all the same… save the world… impending doom…from diablo, taco bell, whatever.

I gave LE another shot for the 1.1 release. I couldn’t play it. The combat is just so boring and unsatisfying. Played it for few days now im back to D4. D4’s combat and skills (not skill tree’s) blow LE outta the water.

I never tried last epoch, it looks fun in a clunky sort of way
the combat is gooofy
your character feels like your rubberbanding
diablo for example has an impact on every skill
every shout feel like you shouted
every dagger feels like it stick
diablo is wayyy more brutal and its a nice touch
meanwhile in last epoch you feel like a moron for playing melee and you need to press 4 buttons to even do something.
and you know what ? last epoch was developed about 8 YEARS to start with
there is no excuse for them to do such dooodoo after 8 years lmao.
even poe got better in 10 years

Diablo 4 is ALLREADY miles better after a year : D
just need some polishing for sure : D
but i will make sure to test, report and give feedback : D

That’s just the excellent sound production. The problem is that’s a small, though key, part of the game. I agree with your sentiment though. The graphics and general world design in D4 are really good too. LE doesn’t have as good sound or graphics but the gameplay is so far superior to D4, particularly the feedback loop of content → loot → harder content → better loot.
Depends what you want from a game.

well i had my fun for a week so i cant say im a Last Epoch hater that much
and poe league starting in week or so,
It really is worth a try. The skill trees and passives make the game very interesting.
There is a lot more to flesh out for your character, and there is a lot more customization if you’re into that sort of thing. I recommend it.
Having never played Last Epoch, what is your main take away between the two end game activities? Worts and all. Thanks!

you do realize D4 had like 7 years dev time before release right? one year of heavy fixes does not paint a good picture to the state it was released in.
(yes i know it there were a few attempts that were scrapped but its still time blizz spent on D4)

dont get me wrong, both bore me, i just don’t really see the difference in gameplay activities.
sure D4s actual gameplay is more polished, but builds/items/skillcustomization looks better in LE.

Do it. It’s Got cool ideas and a couple good systems. Combat totally sucks but the progression systems are cool.
Worth checking out. Once you slog through the campaign and get to monos it will probably keep you entertained for a bit.

Try Wolcen if you haven’t already. Much more fun the first play through then D4 and Le graphics just a fraction lacking but the skill system is fun and has real impact on skills.

LE is kinda doomed. performs worse than both d4 and poe and they take their sweet time to address it.
also still running on dx11 (2009) with no will to bring dx12 or vulkan. im afraid LE is done for tbh. i love indie studios that come out with bangers but this one really feels indie all the way through.
im surprised tencent bought them ; there’s really not much hope there so far. guess it was a gamble lol
