I saw quite a few post on this topic. Some were created back in May. Yet, Blizzard is not doing anything about this. People who paid to play this game, expect their voices to be heard. So instead of thinking ways to reached out to more players, please do some house cleaning before you disappoint more new players.

There have been countless posts on this. This passed by out of control months ago and is downright abusive. The fact that it is this bad and no word or action is causing many of us to believe they are benefitting greatly from it. Integrity in gaming is long dead.

This is why you can, and should, turn trade chat off. Trade chat isn’t for players to trade with each other. It’s there so people can advertise to you.

I think you mean not worth the return on investment. It would be like trying to sell PvP carries in the game. Those who run RMT businesses aren’t stupid, they’ll go after the biggest fish pool they can find.

Turning Trade Chat off is equivalent to turning World Chat off. Unless Blizzard opens up another chat channel for World Chat, if not, your method is not the solution. But let’s be honest with each other, this kind of Commercial spam aims to spread it’s contents to as many eyes as possible. So no matter which chat channel, as long as there are plenty of active players, the spam will be there.

They could probably do more to curb it, but realistically it’s a battle they can never win without just getting rid of in game chat.
The best way to fight it would cause a huge uproar, they would need to block several countries and block VPNs. But we all know how that would go with political correctness police.
There’s a world chat? Didn’t know that. I think I turned all of that off as soon as I saw gold farmer spam. I play solo and with friends, so it’s not missed.
The spam in trade chat is much better than we getting mute by Discord mods for using a wrong key words in LFG. Have to try again after 5 minutes and get mute again because of spelling error 
It is impossible to get rid of ads in trade chat without completely removing chat regardless of what filters you put in they will always find a way around them
