Combining Extracted Aspects

A nice feature in the future would be to have a tab at the Occultist where maybe we could combine or salvage already extracted Aspects. I had a stash full of them that I acquired throughout early game, that I’m now replacing with perfect roles and all I seem to be able to do with the old, unused extracted Aspects is to sell them for a very small amount of gold.

The Occultist currently can create and salvage sigils, so it should be easy to add the same features to Aspects in these menus.

Just my 2 cents.

It would be nice to have a way to target aspects that aren’t in the codex, or to maybe upgrade low aspect rolls. Both could be accomplished through the occultist and breaking down excess legendaries for a mat that could be used to craft or upgrade aspects.

I think this an the OP idea are great ideas. These are the kind of posts that are desperately needed in more abundance here.

I want to add though. The Division 2 has a targeted loot system that rotates on a daily basis and also one that is a sort of mega dungeon where you can choose your gear. This doesnt give the targeted loot a guarantee, it just gives it a significantly higher chance. I think something like this would be cool.

People arent really getting it that the game has only official been released for 10 days. This game is intended to last a long time and much more will be added. Its ideas like these that are productive diacussions here, and things that we can look forward to. There will likely be more interesting aspects and gear coming in the future for sure. New skills, new classes, etc. This games foundation is exceptional and there is a lot to look forward to.

I would actually really like to see the codex itself change to something similar to the division 2.

I think every aspect should be available in the codex at a minimum level. When you extract an aspect, instead of putting some annoying inventory management nightmare item into your bags/stash, it would just upgrade your codex entry permenantly.

This would mean all builds could be played from early on without relying on RNG drops to enable them in the first place, and greatly reduce the headache of inventory management. Overall legendary droprates could be tuned accordingly.

What we need are aspects that fundamentally change the abilities to make them far better than their standard version. You kind of get that for some of them. I have an aspect that makes Frozen Orb pulse twice after the initial explosion. If you plant it right on top of things they get shredded by it. Problem is I built around bonus damage and not mana cost reduction so I can only cast two of them before I’m OoM. I dropped it to instead use as boosted attack speed for basic skills aspect. Gives me the freedom to use other spells while running around.
