There really needs to be a way to make this easier, because it’s not fun to have a 100% pure RNG achievement, much less one that is effectively a 20-minute cooldown on a lootbox, give or take how fast you can get Whisper combos done.
I hit 5/10 pretty easily and then the rolls just dried up for a dozen rolls until I got my sixth. The fact that I basically have to focus up on this and not even look at Nightmare Dungeons is aggravating. Helltide trophy is fine, 1000 cinders is not much effort and drops with almost every enemy. Even PVP will be whatever, 5 kills can just be traded between friends or I can goof on Tier 1/2 players for a few minutes with my Sorcerer main. I’m not even worried about the Level 100/Uber Lilith ones, because other than the very very easy “do this one thing on every class you can do by level 5 on each” trophies, every single trophy is easily done on your main unlike D3 wanting every single class at Level 70, wanting 500 flippin’ bounties total or D2 wanting you TO DO THREE PLAYTHROUGHS WITH EVERY CLASS.
But anyway, until I get those last 4 Chaos chest drops, this trophy wants me to just…NOT do anything else. Ignore helltide when it comes up, ignore nightmare dungeons slowly creeping up with my level, ignore the rest of Renown despite those Paragon points being such a tease.
Blizzard, I’m begging you. Let me re-roll those chests. And not just for the trophy on consoles, for general loot as well. Those Obols are useless being used exclusively for horrible traded loot in towns, use them for that so we have a REASON to do random events! And I swear, if they do say “oh we’ll do this soon” and then they go “you’ll have to wait until Season 5 or something because when we decide on one feature we tunnel vision on only ever doing that and just shut off all feedback that should be done now” I will lose my mind.

Theres an xbox achievement for 10 chaos caches, but they are only an option every now and then. Dont think theres an ingame achievement for em if youre on pc (presumably theres a trophy on ps5)

You’re gonna be even more sad when you get that tenth and find it bugged. I’ve opened 16 now and no trophy. I don’t know what the deal is. Was is supposed to hold them and open them in a row? Is it just bugged? Is it because I opened them across different world tiers? Do they only count on a specific world tier? Who even knows. All I know is I’m so pissed because I don’t even want these chaos bags.
Funny. Im still stuck on this trophy. Sucks because with D4 trophies it doesnt keep up with percentages (%) on the trophy list on ps5 (idk about xbox but assuming its the same mechanic) as most other games do. I.e. if ive opened 6 out of the 10 it should say “60% completed” but nope. Just like every other trophy its locked @ 0% until you complete it which sucks. I kmow ive gotten a few but dunno how many more i need. I have 400 hours of play time on eternal server only amongst my rogue, necro and sorc, and ive yet to find 10 chaos cashes for that trophy which is a bummer. Im currently working on the level 50 HC character and then ill only have the Cashe one to do. I hate doing whispers but it seems with the way things or now they reward much better atleast. But it doesnt effect me much since im already lv100 i guess. They do need to make chaos cashes like a 50/50 at minimum. I wasnt even glong after the platinum trophy until i actuslly bothered to look and see i was missing only 5 troohies when i logged on for the first time again in 3 months yesterday abd figured all i really had to do was level a character to 50 on HC which will be a breeze now
I’m pretty sure it all has to be on one character in one realm. So other characters or switching realms (like seasonal/eternal/hc) seem to each have their own internal counters. And like I said, it was also bugged for me. My partner recently completed it and definitely noticed the reset across characters, but decided to focus one and kept count and got it at 10. That was on the season v standard realm, so ymmv
