My wife and I play coop on the PS5. I apparently handed in a grim favor quest, before she did. Part of the reason for that was the other issue I posted about where player 2 disconnects but player 1 is ok, resulting in player 2 not earning experience or credit for the dungeon.
We have been doing Grim Favors as a team, and we found that she wasn’t earning them from any of them. So we logged my account out, and hers in, and found that she didn’t have grim favors in her map, other than the Yshari Sanctum area.
As soon as my account logged in, her map was populated with grim favors everywhere.
The bug here is that despite being present for grim favor quests, because they were outside of the specific dungeon, she was not earning credit for them.
Exact same problem on Series X. Do both players need a unique purchase and ID of the game, or is this a bug?
We resolved it for my wife’s account.
I had turned in the whispers from the first zone. She had not due to a ‘disconnect player 2 only’ bug (she never received them).
All we had to do was complete the first zone’s whispers for her, then the rest are available.
Just be aware that if you log in coop, your whispers will show up on the other person’s map, even if they aren’t eligible for them. So that’s a bug. It should only show whispers they are eligible for (only them in first zone).
We only caught it because of the quest area circle around that zone.
I had these exact issues just tonight and found your post extremely helpful! My husband and I play couch co-op, and were completing grim favors, he was receiving them, but i wasnt. Turns out, i submitted my whispers but next spoke with the tree after doing so. Lost out on like 8 favors.
