The hotfix that was released earlier (at least for me) addressing the gobbos is barely noticeable. Sure, I’m getting a few more 925 bags, but if you hadn’t announced that a hotfix was released addressing the spawn rate/loot table, I wouldn’t even have realised. Do you just have an internal meeting and say, there was a 5% chance before, how about we bump it to 6%; let’s not test it, that sounds great!
I very rarely express my opinions/worries on the internet. But I truly love playing Diablo 4 and wish it all the success in the future (Season 4 in of itself has been amazing). But this event does little to dispel said concerns.
I honestly don’t even see these D4 goblins as “treasure goblins” anymore.
In D3 they truly are what their name means. They drop a large amount of legendary items and have a huge variety of them.
In D4 I never get excited or alert when I hear the noise of one. Which, by the way, is not a distinguishable sound like it is in 3.
The devs seriously need to improve the amount of legendary and unique goblin loot. And in this event, they need to improve even more.
And there are still bugs in the altars of greed.
I caught one yesterday in a dungeon where I clearly saw the goblin symbol above my character, and NO GOBLINS appeared even though I killed several monsters.
Not only are goblins almost as rare to spot as they are to drop a unique Item. It still has these bugs.
Well said… You’d think (bare in mind they literally drop gold as they run away) that once you kill them you get a treasure bag (items), and maybe a large gold pouch that has a decent amount inside.
Although my biggest gripe is mainly their spawn rate, and I have not ONCE seen a pack of them in the over-world. We shouldn’t have to be stuck running NMD again and again, we literally just pushed for the over-world to be on par with - if not better than - running dungeons…
i mean its a free event, i dont get why people get so hung up on it. I dont consider it extremely exciting myself, but i do like the free transmogs. As for the goblins, well, its free loot so ill take that.
Oh really? Have you forgot the Goblins in Diablo 3 at the very beginning and well after?
They would drop 1-2 rares and …some gold and few mats and that would be it. The ones you are talking about were add long before they first add Goblins.
So yea, but … I think they are OK in D4 as we speak.
The normal thing is to expect people to improve and learn from their mistakes. I know that the goblins in D3 have improved over time, but I was hoping that Blizzard had learned that treasure goblins need to be something with very good loot and varieties of them.
Apparently Blizzard never learns from its own mistakes.
Figured it out, need to run NMD and look for greed shrine, when you activate the shrine and kill enemy they seem to spawn. Do this with 4 players and you can get a lot of spawns.
The rewards are still bad. Barely any 2GA and not a single 3GA out of 220 rare bags and 40 legendary bags. You do get 1 or 2 unique per legendary bag so you do make a lot of gold if youre selling them all to vendor though. The drops have all been bad though. No upgrades for my character.
Just posting for situational awareness, im not going to continue playing with the way tempering currently works, just wanted to try the event. Its not a total loss though as this is probably the fastest way to make gold currently.
