Hello,
Hope, blizzard will pay attention to my post. Being new to Diablo 4 as my post will be both critic-oriented with the intention to input on the most bleeding part of the game!
Coming to D4 from a competitor on the market, I initially thought the game is really fun, I still do, the story, graphics, skill animations, skill tree/paragon tree all looks awesome. However, I don’t think it’s fair by blizzard to have such a class balance that is total garbage.
Last season (Season 6) only and only Spiritborn has been quite good with only one class broken and that class was the only broken class. Season 7, excluding with all the bugs that Blizzard staff have totally ignored and overlooked and the QA staff members did not pay any attention or did any effort of testing prior to the PTR release and/or applying patches from PTR to Live incorrectly or totally ignoring to address the issues that were part of the PTR.
Additionally, classes are so unbalanced and going back historically referencing reddit posts and my friends discussions, D4 has never ever had a proper balance. Blizzard seems to be so harshly ignoring this game-breaking part! Why?
When we talk about class balances in ARPG, every class must be able to do the PIT 150 after gearing up with min/max build, masterworing etc. Those of hardcore players who farm 24/7 to grind for the perfect items must be easy to do PIT 150 regardless of their class.
ALL CLASSES MUST BE ABLE TO DO PIT 150! EITHER ALL CAN DO IT OR NEITHER ONE CAN DO IT!
Current situation that is repeating every single season is that there is either 1 character with 1 build only who can do PIT 150 or as of today, we only have 3 classes, each one with 1 build who can do PIT 150. The rest of us who enjoys playing different classes and builds, we simply suck it up being the bottom of the trash (some worse than others) but nowhere to compete with Blood Wave Necro (PIT 150), Druid Cataclysm (PIT 150) and Barbarian Earthquake (PIT 150).
Rogue, Sorcerer are the bottom trash. Rogue can only do PIT 130 with Rain of Arrows build, those who enjoys Dance of Knives, Trap builds, Twisting Knifes, Puncture etc these builds are non-existent (PIT 85/90 max)… Sorcerer is the most suffering class where it became a joke already. I can’t see a Sorcerer without playing bugged items and to enjoy their builds to be able to do any higher than 75/80… Maybe if they include some bug items to their builds or pray and don’t mind spending 15 minutes, they can go as high as PIT 100 but that’s far away to compete with the rest of the classes. Rogue and Sorcerer are simply jokes.
Spiritborn, seems like it is a meme. Only 1 build is decent to play. At least in Season 6 there were 2 which were decent (Quin Valley and Crushing Hand). Now, it’s total garbage and only one mixed build can do something due to the bugged witchcraft skills.
PIT 150 must be challenging but be able to be done within the time frame given by all classes and builds! Then we can talk about a well balanced classes.
Blizzard also must focus on the end game content! A game that has been out for 1.5 years so far, I’ve expected more and not PITS to be the only end game content.
Citadels must have more meaning to why the players must farm these as part of the end game content and be challenging as it requires 2 players+.
Bosses such as World Bosses, Uber Bosses like Andariel and others, must have more mechanics, similar to Uber Lilith where players must dodge, apply mobility, team play etc in order to kill it, else die.
Currently, there are 0 mechanics, just spam your skills and that’s all.
Skill rotation will be cool to be introduced, e.g. upon casting skill 1 skill 2, bonus dmg is applied or new skill is invoked dealing xy damage etc. Like forcing people learn their skills, learn their character, learn combinations and not only button mashing and do not care about what the skills do lol. Current state is purely button mashing.
All instances from Torment 1 to Torment 4 must be only and only Nightmare Dungeons. What I like is and would love to see, these Nightmare Dungeons to be challenging to do and the end boss of it , to take quite a beating and require dodging to kill it (must be solo doable).
Adding Torment 5 and 6, will also be enjoyable and raise the difficulty and spice it up with more content, more challenges to overcome and new bosses to be introduced.
I appreciate the game being more laid back and relax and enjoy some casual gameplay but let stick to the realistic where, the above points I’ve mentioned are a game breaking. If addressed, the game will be more fun to play, players will be happies and willingly to play it rather than leaving for a competitor on the market.
Blizzard staff must pay close attention to the feedbacks and actually testing the product thoroughly, ESPECIALLY the END GAME and CLASS BALANCES to ensure every class is balanced and every build of all classes can do the highest PIT!
