Diablo 4 note
I wanna talk about classes. I think there needs to be new classes instead of the same classes with the same abilities that are from the same 3 other games… it’s boring and it’s lazy. I think having barbarian in 3 games is alright if that’s what you want but using the same abilities over and over like whirlwind . Frenzy. Hammer of the ancients . Upheaval. These abilities are basically copy and paste from d3. And whirlwind d2 and d3 and d4 have them and I’m assuming immortal did too. Don’t get me wrong I like barbarian but I feel like it could be reinvented. And Necro a class I love to play but come on alot of the same abilities like bone spear same stuff d3 had. Not to mention on top of this Necro has no command for there pets … I feel like controlling your pets should be a staple to a minion class… it’s like someone forgot to put it in the game
Take Inspiration from wow or other games and make classes we haven’t seen in diablo yet. Like maybe a shaman or a warlock. Witch doctor in d3 was one of the most unique classes I have played in a diablo game and me and my buddy absolutely loved it. We need more classes like this. Different with abilities not seen in a diablo game. Monk as well different style of class and also extremely fun when it came out cause it was new and exciting
Also we need to talk about abilities like I said earlier so many of the same abilities are used over and over again . There also very boring . Take a game like last epoch which I just started playing… each skill has a talent tree in it where you can spend points and it changes how the skill/spell operates . Such a simple idea but adds so much depth to a game. I think even diablo 3 had a better system for skills. At least in d3 as you lvld you would unlock runes to change how your abilities played and how they looked. I feel like having items or talents that altered your abilities and how they perform would make the game feel better.
Lastly as an idea of gear I think you could get legendary power alteration glyphs that attach to your gear . These glyphs would take the abilities you have and change them. So like Hammer of the ancients let’s say. Normal slam the ground ability . Once you get a glyph for Hammer of the ancients maybe it changes it to a fire attack where you slam the ground and 3 fire fissures shoot out from the ground and little volcanic mounds appear and pours out volcanic rock. Or maybe a thunder crash like warrior thunder clap ability in wow . You slam the ground and lighting crackles out all around you and electrocutes all the enemies in an area . Having glyphs for each class starting with like 5 per class and adding more with expansions or seasons would make different build variations that maybe weren’t viable at the launch of the game.
At least if your gonna do the same classes over and over again . Come up with some better abilities or some way of making them feel better and or interchangeable by bringing in skill alterations that change there performance.
Ps. Add some levels of hell… a diablo game without hell and creepy levels. Come on… all we’re doing is running caves and abandoned prisons…
