Class Resource Changes

While playing the numerous classes I noticed that sorcerers, necromancers, and rogues will auto generate their respective resource over time.

However, the druid and barbarian do not have an auto generate feature and are thus at a disadvantage.

It’s a simple solution, but allow all classes to auto generate resources.

Maybe I’m missing something, but it seems like an intentional disadvantage for classes that rely more on melee.

Barbarian gains fury from being hit and have a lot of abilities with fury gain. Not so for the druid.

Yes, you are missing that different classes have different mechanism, I will play barb a lot, please don’t homogenize classes, thank you.

No. This is not how game design and game balancing works.

Barb has items that generate fury or rage, like Diablo 3. Late game i think

Tell me you dont understand asymmetrical character design without telling me

I don’t have the same problem with the druids lack of spirit regeneration as a lot of people do. I honestly thought it balanced the character. And after some skill point assigning and gear placement, didn’t even notice it.

A lot of druid abilities actually generate spirit outside of the basics. I don’t think Druid will have any problems.

Barb is ok because it generates fury while being hit or hitting things.

Druid on the other hand should have a passive regen.

All classes except druid felt fine to me. Imo druid in it’s current state is a turd and needs a rework (where are the fire skills from D2 Druid… sadge).

It doesn’t thematically make sense for a barbarian to gain fury when not being hit, or attacking. The whole theme is that they are building rage while in combat.

Druid I will agree with though, makes no sense why they don’t regen spirit

While resource generation for barb and Druid does feel slow from level 1, you do level up pretty fast and between 15 and 35 there are a lot of skills and passives plus items you can get that really help generate resources.

For Barbarian even at level 20 on the beta I never felt fury starved. I was able to constantly use my spenders thanks to fury generation from shouts, the easily obtainable Rend codex item, and a few other passives.

For Druid, most of the really good spirit generation stuff wasn’t available on the beta or was a rare item drop but I doubt it will be too bad on live. One of the class spirit animal boons gives you a 15% chance on lucky hits from ALL damage sources to generate spirit. The storm key passive generates 1 spirit whenever you deal damage with a storm skill (and most storm skills have a lot of hits). Werewolf doesn’t even feel spirit starved to me, even at low level.
