This is unacceptable blizzard I went to my clan tab and it displayed my full first and last name to all my viewers.
Why is there only an option to obfuscate my Bnet Tag, AND character name entirely OR show my FULL FIRST AND LAST NAME? WTF is this bullsh?
I want people to be able to see my bnet tag and character name to add me, but I can’t without letting them also see my full name? There is no reason for it to be my complete identity or completely obfuscated with no in between. wtf

FYI only your friends can see your name if you have Real ID enabled. Those just in your clan can’t see it even though you see it listed. Turn off Real ID in your account settings to officially hide it for everyone (but you’ll still see it for now unfortunately).
You can also change your first name in the account settings. Last name cannot be changed unless you contact blizz.
No I’m talking about from my PC screen, in videos, and while streaming. I don’t know why my full name needs to be shared with everyone who watches. The only option to disable it also disables anyone from being able to see my character name, bnet name, etc
Yeah unfortunately that cannot be changed right now.
Just wait for the “bug” that swaps char name for real name. One day.
If real ID is off, the game shouldnt even load it in anywhere.
Real ID is off and it still shows my full name in clan
Yeah I know, everyone’s does. I mean they shouldn’t even pass your real name to the Game for security reasons b/c lets be real, you cant trust these devs with math let alone my data.
They added a new feature called Streamer Mode. Options > Connect > Additional Options > Streamer Mode.
This puts a fake name on all characters you see in game. Including Clans and Friends list.
