Clan management needs love.
Check out the list below and reply with your ideas as to what is needed. I will add it to the list and we can compile a list of improvements Blizzard should make.
Clans are not currently all together pointless if they have a good leader who manages it. Unfortunately most do not put forth the effort needed to manage the poor interface.
1st and foremost the biggest change needed is increase the member cap from 150 to 500 or 1000. 150 is WAY to small and most leaders are not going to take the time to track inactives and recruit actives.
As it stand right now a well managed Clan is the best way to find people to group up with. Share locations of world bosses, chests, and other events.
You will start to form bonds and shared experiences with players in your clan unlike some randos in discord.
RECOMMENDATIONS TO BLIZZARD - Reply with your idea and I will add it to the list.
-
increase cap to 500 or 1000.
-
Put in a “last online” that officers and/or leaders can see.
-
Allow the recruit board to have more detail and thus more ways to search for the clan.
-
Allow leaders to message players who apply to the clan
-
Give better notice to players when apply is accepted. Ive seen many just time out because if they don’t check it just poofs after a time.
-
Put an option in to mute clan chat that can be assigned to officer roll (for spam prevention). Currently have to set recruit to no chat and demote as a work around.
-
Make the clan MOTD show up in players chat when they log on.
-
Give 1 or 2 more ranks. Its now just recruit > member > officer > leader.
-
Put in a slow down mode for chat. Off, 5 seconds, 20 seconds, 60 seconds, 10 minutes would work.
-
Clan voice needs a lot of love but if a proper UI and features were given it could replace discord.
-
Allow clan members to drop a banner showing the clans banner.
-
Allow other players to click it to see the clan details and apply.
