Chinese players’ videos have appeared on YouTube, showing the use of bot scripts to farm bosses and compasses, which severely impacts the gaming experience for regular players. You couldn’t fix the duplication bug, and now you can’t address this issue either?
Since it’s your only post, I’m guessing they are hurting your bussiness? Hope I’m wrong.
I just came across such videos and wanted to vent about Blizzard’s inaction. If you’re involved in this business, I apologize.
In that case, my apologies. And, I play solo and don’t trade.
the proper way to address this is to make bot scripts irrelevant. make the boss fight actually fun and rewarding.
→ eg: spend xxx keys to increase the boss difficulty. kill the boss once and redeem all those keys in 1 go.
I usually play for a short while with a few friends in the evening; chatting is more important than gaming. For me, Diablo is mostly about nostalgia.
We NEED more Tariffs.
Have you written to Blizz (hacks @ blizzard.com) with links of what you’re referring to? Can’t see how else Blizz can address your concerns.
Players would do well to keep in mind YouTube content can be and is used to deploy malware.
Not a good idea for players to go searching for and accessing random things from rando sources on the interwebs.
Cui bono player attention to this? Duped boss key RMT.
Blizz can put their attention to that more too.
This is where I am too. I’d love for the game to become great, don’t get me wrong, but after two years of swings and whiffs I’m not waiting around anymore. I’ll stay active here and there on the forum to see what’s upcoming, and the residual pain of nostalgia lol, but by and large the game exists as something to do while I’m chatting on Discord.
This is what you get when you have salesmen instead of leaders.
Add to this none of them are gamers makes it even worse.
They see the game as a marketing tool. They do whatever the statistics show will make the most money with least effort. They are not smart enough to see they have made changes to force certain statistics that no longer represent anything relevant to the game or players. When things go bad they smile and lie to your face. They won’t skip the statistic and just do it as they need something to blame other than themselves.
That is salesmanship not leadership.
SSF forever my man. That’s where it’s at. No drama.
Ayy lmfao
CEO of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. recently stated that he was not a gamer CEO and hires and retains the best talent. His philosophy is to hire them and get out of their way and let them create. His job is to sell it not make and sell it.
Blizz should talk to him.
and what exactly is blizzard to supposed to do about people creating videos now?
Scripts can be used in any game, sooner or later they will get banned. (of course for “nothing”). Didnt some dude recently even said he got banned for using autoclicker? lol.
never going to be a thing. As long as people want to cheat, they will cheat.
I mean i get it, cheaters suck. But people are acting like this a phenomenon that applies only to d4. I mean really, are you all new to online games?
Yeah but in his defense a disability shouldn’t necessarily get you banned for using some type of assistance. Violates the ADA for closing an account on that. Microsoft allows “pads” that can be used in games so why Blizz will ban someone for using something that clearly assists him in playing games and not giving him an “edge”.
Oh it absolutely should. The Eula is pretty clear. People are easy to brush their own responsibilities off. Its his choice to purchase the game, accept the Eula, and then break it. Furthermore, he had the option to contact the support ahead of using software tools to ease up his gaming. (that being said, we can only assume he got banned for that anyway. I mean thats what he claims, but what we know for 100% is that blizzard doesnt name the exact reason. In his case, the mail said: "game exploitation)
There also are a ton of hardware solutions for people with disabilities.
my visual disability doesnt justify me using aim-mods in online shooters. Its really just easy as that.
Both he and the company are at fault. They equally share the blame. For a strictly solo online game with no monetary gain like tournaments and PVP, this is a no brainer to allow autoclickers for those with disabilities.
Its not like he is going and duping items to sell via trade to make money.
Auto-aim for games like CoD should be banned.
Blizzard has no control over what happens on YouTube.
No authority to stop them.
They can request that YouTube take them down, but YouTube can tell them to pound sand.
just that its no strictly solo online game. Else i wonder why so many people complain about dupes, scripts, etc anyway.
no offense, but by your logic, no, it shouldnt. Sorry, my visual disability clearly puts me at a disadvantage. All these discussions are pretty much pointless and without interest then.
Thats the whole point, its not CoDs responsibility to tiptoe around my disabilities, and neither is it d4s. If i purchase a game that requires a lot of clicking, well, then tough luck, because thats exactly what you will get.
Yes for those games YES they should but if its not hurting anyone, then allow during solo play. Ever wonder why games like Cyberpunk have mods? Nobody is giving a crap that they are modifying the games. Alot of people do it to make it better and put their own spin on it.
Sorry you have a visual disability but it is what it is. There needs to be a balance and Blizz just giving a generic explanation is typical CYA for them.
