Chilled, How Does It Even Work?

Does chilled count as crowd control and slow? One of the stat sheet tooltips implies it, but Idk.

It counts as CC for things that require CC, but it is not slow.

Both slow and chill reduce movement speed, but they’re not the same effect. If something says it requires an enemy to be slowed, chill doesn’t count. Some effects require something be chilled though and frozen enemies count as chilled as well.

So, +dmg to cc will boost dmg to chilled targets, but not +dmg to slow?

Damage bonus against CC will boost your damage against any kind of CC. That includes immobilized, slowed, frozen, chilled, stunned etc.

Bonus damage against chilled will affect frozen amd chilled targets.

Bonus damage against slowed will affect only slowed mobs, it will have no affect on chilled mobs.

Chill comes from certain frost spell effects that indicate they cause chill. These include frost bolt, frozen orb, blizzard, deep freeze, and frost bolt enchant. Note: ice shards does not normally inflict chill. Unless you enchant frost bolt, chill modifiers will have no effect for ice shards.

Slow on the other hand can be caused by certain aspects, skills or talents for some classes.

How long does chill last?
