Checkpoints inside dungeons

What the heck is going on with checkpoints inside of dungeons. It seems I get to a clear point in the dungeon where I complete an objective, unlock a door, kill a certain boss, and then when I die, I’m teleported all the way back to the entrance of a dungeon after I’m 2/3 of the way through it. Please look at checkpoints inside of dungeons, add more of them and please make it so I’m not running all the way through, or even halfway through the dungeon to get back to the end boss/where I died.

and if you got disconnected, you get teleported back to town and need to do the whole dungeon again. most reason why i hate this game, even if i love it
