Charecter design

why do all the females look Androgynous and square jaw lines and male features

Because it is a fantasy world and the people there look so.

Or what was your idea?

We like our women manly and stout, preferably with a square jaw. Mustaches are optional.

Look at the characters in diablo 2 resurrected. They all look like homeless people. None of them bred and thus had no offspring.

The nephalem in this game look more like super heroes.

just copy n paste your question in GROK.

Blizzard publicly emphasized making Diablo 4 one of their most inclusive games, with wide skin tones, body types uncoupled from stereotypes, and options to reflect diverse players. Some interpret the square jaws and neutral faces as intentional choices influenced by modern sensitivity consulting, DEI priorities, or a desire to “de-gender” aesthetics so characters feel like capable survivors rather than eye candy. Critics call it “ugly-fying” women or making them look like “male versions with different hair.” Supporters argue it’s realistic for a harsh world and avoids objectification.

Irl women with very low body fat have squarer faces with more prominent jaws. The reason women typically have softer/ rounder facial features is largely due to hormonal differences impacting subcutaneous fat deposits in the face. Women built like D4 characters (six-pack abs) simply aren’t gonna have faces like that. Lieke Klaver and Sophie Becker, in peak condition, are good examples.

Laying off the anime and going to the gym might provide some perspective.

Because the Development of D4 is run by people that feel ashamed of being born naturally as a boy or girl, as these are the only two genders created by God.
Obviously.

Shouldn’t you learn to spell before writing?

DIV characters are an ode to the Crossfit-Generation. :flexed_biceps: :blonde_woman:

For The Abs!!!
and Aps :see_no_evil_monkey:

OMG, the female warlock is actually having a male body. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

what kind of male features do you spot on female characters?

what do you even mean? the devs are as stereotypical as they can be lmao.

seriously, some people really need to get a mental health check up.

I just scrubbed the green stuff from my WPC-decking of my Kyovashad penthouse balcony. over 9000 qm² (maybe more… ok… its tiny… only 1 pc. o’ fine fluffy furry bubble tea drinking capybara fits on it… but a big one)

WPC is nice. It totally burns the foot soles in summer :sun_with_face:

My tactic… invite precious crossfitgirl (aka fem. Warlock). “Hey baby… want to take a sunbath on my sundeck?” (puts on golden aviatorglasses… blink blink)

"Ofc…

… ohh ahhh ihhhh urghs… etc…" (jumps right into your arms)"

Me clever… :see_no_evil_monkey:

So what i want to say is… in a nutshell :coconut:

Have a heart for x-fit wo/wamen

:flexed_biceps: :blonde_woman:

Genetics and by genetics, I mean PEDs. Blizzard is clearly in bed with the pharmaceutical industry.
Honesty though, forgive evolution but I’d much rather stare at attractive for hours on end.

kinda crazy how well d4 sold, considering the character designs were available pretty early already.

imagine not every game being a gacha korean anime girl style.

Theres lots of people who see the Character Models of No Rest For The Wicked and dont even touch the game because of it.

Its a very special kind of artstyle. I gave the game a chance and now i love everything about it. Even the bodyshapes of the characters.

That game is beautiful… like the Ori Jump & Runs. But much more harder and brutal then DIV. A bit like a souls game.

That said i would play DIV/other games even if all characters would look like the Queen Of Filth Boss on PoE2.

Using extremes is a deflection, not an argument. But nice try.

And your personal preferences dont make an argument either.

again - the character models were public long before d4 released. Guess the people that complain now about character design need to learn to handle their money better.
