Look at PoE. Game is trash cans for the last 2 years, and people are still lining up to buy MTX, and then 3 days into the league, they hate that they purchased MTX for such a broken league. But guarantee you, next time they wheel Chris out, those same idiots will be there with their pocket books open.

Considering they are making PoE 2 right now Iād cut a little slack. But if people are willing to waste their money, itās done by getting their approval in one way or another. Diablo 4 doesnāt have that attachment yet. If they try it, they will fail.

5 standard + 1 season, maybe 2 ā¦ i hope there will be rebirth option like in D3 so i dont have to create new character all the time, i like the recycling option 
I dont know if I would need more than 50. Likely not. But would be fine with Blizzard selling more than that. For those who did want more.
50 different builds/characters in an A-RPG over the years is not a lot in any case.
But most people dont try to have them all at the same time
If they are going to give us discount leagues, give us discount MTX. There is no slack for rolling out half baked content and expecting people to pay full price for it.
Would still be quite bad if you needed to delete old characters/builds because of a low character slot cap.
D3ās seasons promoted having at least 2 (or 3? Canāt remember) characters to finish the Season Journeys. Either rebirth will be an option or youāre going to max out character slots in less than a year (if you play the seasons). I do not see them adding more slots per season.
I am pretty certain that you will be able to purchase new character slots in the Shop.
oh this kind of rebirth, thought of something totally different earlier when someone talked about rebirth.
That being said, for me itās still not enough char slot , but personally i like having multiple characters with various builds and play softcore + hardcore and seasonsā¦so yea iād like more.
the more we can get the better , thereās no downside in having more afterall but a lot of downside to only have 10 or less.
for some probably not hm I remember in D3 some people with 15 same characters ā¦ i dont get why.
In D2 you can also have unlimited and it kinda makes sense since its build locked ā¦

Character slots I expect they will sell. But 10 is a pretty good number so that doesnāt bother me. I feel like most people wonāt need more than 10. Bank slots I donāt think they will sell. I think it will be a season reward the way it is in D3.
I saw 10, but that is really-really few, from the beta i already see myselft creating 4 sorc, 3 necro, 3 druid, 2-3 rogue, 1-2 barb.
It is clear that every character at least has 3 main theme, so i donāt understand how can Blizzard be so cheapsake with a 70ā¬ game.
But ideally 4 slots per class would be (more than) enough for me.

As the stash tabs will likely be limited I canāt help but think some that are clamoring for large numbers of slots are doing so to get more mules.

Same. Blizzard says over and over that all paid shop/battle pass content will be cosmetics only. Yet these people are still going around saying that there will be boost and game functionality monetized in it.
Eh. If they want to sell character slots I donāt think that is a big deal.
I did it with 2. The armor set conquest I believe? Did 5 armor sets with a Necromancer and then the last one with a Crusader. But it was optional it wasnāt required. It was just one of the easier ones to do.
At any rate I donāt know why people care that much about their old characters. I just delete old ones when the new season starts if I need a new slot.
I think the term ācosmeticā has been interpreted two different ways. The forums view cosmetics as what your character looks like. Blizzard sees cosmetics as stash space, character slots, and character looks. If you think about it increasing your stash space is a cosmetic the same as character slots.
Either way I donāt really care as long as there is a revenue going into development of D4. Otherwise without it D4 will be another D3 after the first expansion and then pushed to the maintenance team and no new content until the next iteration of Diablo.
I have to say I am really looking forward to seeing what is going to be for sale in this shop when the game drops. They have been very vague and quiet about it. I wonder if we will get any sort of blog post before release or it will be a surprise day one. We know at least one armor set for each class will be for sale (but we donāt know the price). We know the season pass. But that is about it. Character slots I can see. Storage I imagine will be a reward for completing the free season pass just because that is what they did in D3 but weāll see.
