Shadows should occur on the opposite side of an object from the light source. In the game, when a character spins in place, their shadows rotates around them as if there were a global light source immediately in front of the character. This looks silly and distracting.
this is … for me … a broken light radius in this game.
Light radius is no longer static light like in D2 or D3, but its moving ball of light above your head, go stand in a water or on an ice, you can see it.
Its a bit behind you and its casting shadow based on your heading, which is extremely idiotic …
lights and shadow and reflection in this game is extremely broken to my taste …
i hate light radius but in other games it was mostly static, stable and it was tolerable … but in here, i absolutely hate it and a simple feature like “turn off light radius” would solve 90% of the issues … i could tolerate other light sources reflections that arent actually there … but this that keeps following you and you can see it all the time, thats very bad and annoying.
The light radius follows you only horizontally … wait till you sit on a horse at night … when you raise your height, your shadows are suddenly super big, half the screen … like shadow plays for kids on a wall … because the closer you are to the light source, the bigger the shadow.
This problem was there last year. Every gameplay they released, it was there … it tells you that they dont care.
The Lighting manager is not doing his job properly.
this is so distracting… please blizzard remove the casting shadow from the light infront of the player
