There is a char movement bug with the controller. As I move my char it get stuck and stop moving several times. It does not seem to be a lag since all the game keep going including monsters etc. This bug started only after the new pre-season patch. It is probably a new bug generated on fixing a movement-controller bug. Please fix this asap as it is very difficult to play this way, the overall movement is so clunky and slow as the character get frozen many times. Thanks!

You are correct. While we wait for a fix for something that was perfect prior to the patch. Go into your controller settings and set both the inner and outer dead zones to around 3 or 4, it isn’t perfect but helps fix the default setting.

Im unable to play till they fix it. Dont like feeling like im going to puke every 10 mins. Sad that this got messed up right before the first season.
I pray they fix it or ill be forced to uninsall and forget about this game. Getting game sick is not fun.

I experience same thing. Really makes the game hard to enjoy. I really hate when i will not even touch my controller and my character or icons will move. I can deal with it if it was on every game or interface on my ps5 i experienced drift or movement bug but it is only on diablo 4. This really a problem that only appeared after season 1 dropped

The bug the people above you are talking about was fixed and it was linked to certain controllers.
Since you’ve still got an issue is must be something different.
I just bought and downloaded the game for PS5 and am also having these issues. At first I thought it was wifi connection, but my wifi is strong and i dont have issues with other games. It has to be a bug…

I’ve got this bug since Season 4 launched 2 days ago. While moving around whether walking or on my horse, I’ll periodically get “locked” where I can only take a few steps in any direction and no more. To resolve it, I have to fast travel to a town, wait a few seconds, and then return through my portal. It’s really frustrating but occurs randomly. Seems to happen more after 8pm ET so I don’t know if it’s a server issue when things get busier.

After season 4 dropped i started having this issue. I have 3 controllers and one is a brand new modded controller, no matter what controller i use it happens. My character will turn and run in a direction or just stop and not move no matter what i do. Its very frustrating, i spend a lot of mo ey on this game and work a lot. So, to come home and play for a few hours only to be frustrated by such a small issue is aggravating. It makes the game really hard to enjoy. I hope you fix it soon or i will move onto another game. It really sucks to do that seeing that i have spent thousands on this game.
I’m experiencing this same issue. Some days my character’s movement is okay with minimal last and stutters. Other days it’s terrible. Going north on the map is fine. Going south is horrendous. Constantly have to move the joystick part and right to get my character moving. Otherwise, they just stand still like I ran into a wall. Super annoying and really wish they would fix this. Been dealing with this since season 4 dropped!
Xbox Series X. I’ve never experienced this bug in Season 4, but it’s happening to me in Season 5. It happens frequently. I’m moving around and freeze all of a sudden as if I’ve hit a wall, but I can’t move in any direction.
The workaround for this bug is fairly simple though; all I have to do is use the Evade skill once to break free from this bug prison, but it’s super annoying that I have to do this at all.
I just now started playing the game and noticed this immediately on PC. It feels like I’m bouncing off of things and the terrain below me is like out of sync with my character or something, it’s really bad.
