Nothing changed here. Still can’t log in on all my seasonal characters.
Keeps returning to character selection screen.
I received a similar response to my ticket regarding my single character being unable to log into the game:
“We are contacting you to inform you that a hotfix has been applied to Diablo IV, which should resolve your character login issue. Could you update your game client and check to see if you can log into your characters again?”
As I responded in the ticket, I have exactly the same issue as before. I get the character into the queue, fades to loading screen, and immediately returns me to character select. Hot fix ain’t so hot.
Still have same issue. No change.
Yeah can’t login still as well… I am extremely discouraged at the moment and was trying to be optimistic.
I just reinstalled the game to test it out and the shop is working great! I’m able to buy a 65 dollar cosmetic (Just a horse armor, mind you) with some platinums attached to it! Jokes aside, nope, I haven’t been able to log into ANY of my seasonal characters since October 23rd.

Everyday same crap. Get stuck in login. Why isnt this fixed yet Blizzard? Jesus Christ. For the 1 billion dollars youve made, you can’t upgrade infrastructure? My God

Attempted with both of my seasonal characters, unable to login with either. I’m kicked back to character selection screen. I’m also still unable to make a new seasonal softcore character.
I have a fix for this. if you have any eggs or shards in your stash, you need to move htem to a character you can log into. as soon as you do this, you will be able to log that character. i dont know why, but i had 20 shards and 43 eggs, moved them to my sorc randomly, then was able to log in. someting to do with the eggs and shards.

Sucks that this xp and gold boosted week is coming, not going to be able to take advantage of it at all… any plans for compensation?

Sadly my eggs and shards are in the personal inventory of the affected character so, not a fix for me sadly. If this worked for anyone else, cheers.
However this is my daily Bump. My level 100 rogue is still bugged.
My other characters, seasonal or eternal are unaffected.

i had this happen to my barb.
I think it’s a stash consumable issue
For me to fix it I moved the 10 eggs and shards I had in my stash into another character’s inventory (consumable inventory)
My advice would be to create an alt, and move your entire stash to ur alts until your stash is entirely empty. Create as many alts as needed.
Then try to log in on the main character that has been failing to log in>
For me, I only had to move the eggs and shards onto an alt. For you, it might be any consumable, or item, or whatever.
Worth a try, since everything else has failed for you.
oh looks like nemesis already posted here. I was the one who helped him with this fix but it should work for you all also
daegda - i would try moving other consumables/ items from your stash onto an alt. start with consumables (elixirs/ anything that goes into consumable tab). then if that doesn’t work, try moving ur entire items over to lvl 1 alts. If ur entire stash is empty, and it still doesn’t work I dont know
edit: the weird thing is, the eggs and shards in my stash didn’t prevent EVERY character I had from logging in. just like (two?) i couldn’t log into. So find a character u can log into and move things into their stash. like i said, start with consumables first.
for blizz: I am almost certain it is a stash corruption issue. Some item, or consumable when the game tries to load the characters stash (and since it’s shared, sometimes it’s multiple characters, but not always every character which is unusual).

I have non of those in my stash I think there are multiple issues glad to hear that a few people have the issue that has a work around at least, but yeah even if I make an alt char it won’t enter the game.
Unfortunately I can´t even try this solution since ALL MY SEASONAL chars were locked out.
And I simply can´t even create a new seasonal char.
