Season 10 has been pretty fun, lots of fun builds and lots of viable endgame builds that are a blast to play.
Chaos armor is pretty cool for a while… But then you suddenly realize that it is a completely horrible and horrifying system to have to play with.
I like to push my character to the MAX it can go. Last season i was rank 50 globally. One of the most important parts to getting your character to that high on the ladder is farming the 4x GA items. Back then, you could easily farm a boss, find a good 4x GA piece, sell it for gold cap, and then purchase another 4x ga item for your character and keep progressing nicely.
With chaos armor, you are basically constantly searching for chaos armor drops. Which means doing helltides for rep to get caches, or doing infernal hordes. You are only able to do these two activities, everything else is off limits for you need to keep getting rolls on chaos armor. I have all 1x ga chaos items for my toon, I am rank 2 spirit borne USA, rank 3 usa player, Rank 70 globally. I NEED to get 2x or 3x ga pieces in order to progress on the ladder. Anyone else is getting pure RNG in order to reach their place on the ladder. The rest of us are SoL. Doesnt matter if ALL my gear is perfectly master worked , or the rest of the non chaos armor is near perfect, ALL my progress is based on highly limited chaos armor drop RNG.
I am considering quitting and I havent even reached the max level of this season, and ive never quit so early in a season ever in my entire time playing this game. It is really unfun and unfair of a system that i think needs to have some degreee of certainty added in order for it to be tolerable as a system.
OTHERWISE the idea and gear itself is GREAT and a fun welcome change. But the rng and account bound aspects, or the fact that you cant target farm some, it is just too hard and tooo random to stomach, it feels like i am playing into the void because this is really reallly defeating to get 50 caches from season rep, and EVERY single one is a 1x GA chaos piece i already have. It is EXHAUSTING .
are you trying to act like theres an economy in this game? i am playing a violin really loudly for you, since you are extra farming for chaos gear this season. that being said… how many hours played do you have
You have an amazing knack for the game but not being happy with rank 3 on ladder and making a post about changes you want because of that is a bit much. Sounds like you want trading of chaos and that would be a huge mistake.
I have all the chaos gear and mythics I need. It didn’t involve any “extra” farming… it was the same process as in every other season. Level up… kill stuff… get loot.
As for the economy… it’s always sucked… but it sucks less this season.
Chaos armor definitely didn’t run the season… You haters really need to get a clue.
Of course he does… so he can (in his own words) “sell it for gold cap.”
As always a great idea poorly implemented. It’s great to have chase items and not get what we want so easily. But it can’t be impossible either. I’m at level 180 paragon and I still haven’t seen the chaos item I need. I still need to get the slots right when it drops. The blacksmith was missing a targeted craft. 3 chaos gloves plus the only one you want and has a chance of getting what you want in that slot. At first I loved the chaos drops now, it was wonderful, I already know it will be a useless item that I still have to store.
Is this ranking in your head? Why would you imagine yourself so far down the list. If you’re making stuff up at least put yourself in the top 10. Have some belief in your make believe!
This season is should have been great but its been once again ruined by laziness and clearly no one testing the drop rates. I am around P255 and have finally had enough.
I cant get a single build online because the drop rates for chaos uniques are so trash.
I cant find a single GA item in two slots that have the GA I need.
Somehow though I’ve gotten thousands of mothers embraces or any of the other trash uniques I dont need yet cant get the ones I do need to drop to save my life.
The infernal hoards is a piss poor excuse for a QOL increase and other than that adds nothing to the breadth or depth of the endgame.
Its always ‘just wait until next season its going to be epic’ with the developers. Oh by the way have you checked out all the 45$ skins we just released.
The bar is so low for this game and yet they continue to drop the ball.
Look at other games and how much content they drop with a season. There is no comparison and yet they keep stuffing the shop with 28$ passes and skins.
Im done with this season already because the developers cant figure out how to stop manipulating the drop rates to drop 99% dog spit.
While I can’t be the judge of your fun, it’s 100% fair. It takes RMT out of the equation and everyone is playing with the same rules. You’re playing a broken build with 4-5 pieces of chaos armor so you did sign up for it. TBH it’s kind of funny to see you cry unfair when you’ve rolled the broken FOTM build and then claim global rank is meaningful. The SB ranking IS the global rank, give or take a couple stubborn pulv druids.
Pulv druid is pushing pretty deep and while you won’t rank as high globally you’d probably be less frustrated on the druid board since it’s a 2 chaos build.
I assume you know this, but you can target slots with obols and the event tree caches have a decent chance of dropping a chaos piece. I got a 2 GA out of one.
I’m not crying. So there is a mismatch because I already have 2 ubers and I don’t have 1 of my desired chaos. But of course. This is RNG. This is the problem as long as we don’t have a way to improve the dopro of something specific. If we had potions with 20% more chance of finding glove it would make life easier as a whole.
