Changing my Willpower stat doesn't seem to do anything (that I can visually see)

Hello:
So I am a bone spear necro and fighting the battle of essence. I must be missing something because when I raise my willpower with say gem, when I go into my stats the numbers do not change at all for essence regen or anything to do with essence. What am I missing and how do I fix it? should I be less worried with the stat itself and concentrate on what my gear offers or what options do I have.
thanks in advance!

I don’t think you build or focus on willpower at all. Typically every class just stacks their main stat which would be intelligence.

You should only be getting willpower from items with all stats which isn’t a lot and paragons that you are forced to go through. Basically ignore it. Get your essence regen from aspects / item stats like resource gen and essence per second / passives etc.

You have to hover over Willpower to see it’s own regen. The stats sheet has it’s own value from paragon board, gear, buffs, etc. Aside from that, Willpower regen is very minor. You need intervals of 100 to notice a difference in performance.

Thank you very much. I was kind of thinking this but wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything or missing out.

Willpower on a Necro increase resource regen, however Necro gets a low amount (3/sec???) that you’ll never notice it much.

Back when All Stats was a thing in earlier seasons, you could get a decent amount. Now? I’d say ignore it unless you absolutely need a Willpower based Paragon node.

Essence per second roll or lucky hit chance to gain x amount of resource is your friend.

So is Grim Harvest since you need to procc multipliers by consuming corpses anyway.
