Changes you want to see to the game, I'll go first

  1. Itemization change (Scrap current itemization, bring in D2 style itemization.
  2. Redo bossing, its very very boring, add them to NMD’s or something, but what we currently have is not it.
  3. add atlas type progression system or something epic for NM Dungeons, PTR NMD changes arent nearly enough.
Thats what i want to see. How about you , what changes would you like to see.

The leadership team.

+1 for point 3… we need a big endgame system like atlas or monoliths.

Demon Hunter… Iframes… sets… What I want most isn’t here, really.

I like most things about the game… just not the constant nerfing or the “let’s add invincibility frames to bosses”

Belial is the only viable boss to farm since that’s a 1 sec kill.

I want spiritborn to be strong again, Crushing hand spiritborn is the most fun i’ve had… back in season 6

Paladin class would be nice also

I have lost hope that they ever make Minion necro “Fun” or viable for endgame pit pushing.

  1. Expanding the mercenary skills.
  2. Give some attention to the runes.
  3. Add more world bosses. At least one in each expansion.
  4. Build out all of the undeveloped areas on the map.
  5. Do not have any hidden side quests. I should not need to kick a rock for a quest to start.
  6. A better selection of mounts. More pets without needing to pay for them.

I would be ok with all those things, i didnt think to add them

Pretty likely not going to happen. Also, lets be honest. People wont be able to handle d2 itemization. Stuff there actually is rare.

big agree

i dont mind the current system. I wish it was more intricate, but the current one is “ok”. Id love if we would see more runes every now and then tho.

Couldn’t agree more. I did that once. I no longer feel multi-hundred hour farms is “content” nor do I trust Blizzard to create a usable trading system let alone a freaking global chat channel.

At least one more skill branch with an additional skill on each branch. Right now I always use the same two mercs with the same skills. I level the other two mercs just to do it but soon forget them.

I agree we should work on D5 also, but this is d4 we are talking about.

The changes you are asking for…are planned to happen again…and changed…again…and again…the wheel of time turns. The pattern spits out the same heroes and stories just dressed up different.

For some strange reason, this game feels like it takes quarters to play. I’d like to see the game lose the whole seasonal concept. Giving the kids what they thought they wanted, was not the right decision.

i just feel that the rune system in d4 is not fun, just something to solve

Its just that its basic like every other oversimplified system in the game.

A lot of streamlining. Even if nothing changed in the game a lot of the game is clunky or feels drawn out. Even low level changes like:

Get rid of the tempering animations.
Have two options for MW so that you can upgrade in batches of 4.
Give an option to get rid of some of the confirmation messages.
A loot filter or full loot details always readable from the ground.

More intense changes:

Change glyph leveling.
Return Mindcages.
“Living Gear” that gets stronger as you slay stronger foes.
Excess Resource to Experience Conversion

Extreme changes:

Meta progression revolving primarily around Undercity activities.
Story Line that investigates the curse in the Undercity and it’s actual resolution.
Allowance of flat numbers in affixes to generate a greater diversity in choices.
A reworking of Lucky-Find; current version is awkward and is either too powerful or too weak.
A rework of tempering since some recipes are 100% boons and some are not, for instance the recipe that improves Crit, Overp and Vul where a build would just have all three naturally making any outcome “good” meanwhile tempering with utility has a 3/4 chance of not rolling the skill you use. Makes no sense.

Use two runes and periodically something will happen is very boring. But I am old and do not know anything.

Yep like I said. Its basic like everything else in the game.

1 - Remove tempering and master working

2 - Rework item progression so you actually find upgrades and slot them in. Which means getting away from the pure RNG system where you quickly find “good enough” then spend forever finding better.

3 - Add other progression systems that work together to progress your character. D3 grifts are a perfect example. You gain paragon and occasionally find upgrades. All the while pushing you to run higher level grifts to earn more paragon. The system is simple but it works. Not saying we need that exactly but a combination of systems that works like that.

4 - Remove the whole bossing thing. It’s silly. Most of us don’t want to farm 5 minute boss fights so we farm them on a level where they aren’t a challenge and die in seconds. Which just makes them a borefest.

  1. Add another skill slot on the hot bar. Even six skills plus an ult button would be good.
  2. More World Bosses. Three isn’t enough.
  3. More dungeon surprises like the Butcher.
  4. Pull one of the seasonal gem mechanics over to Eternal. Adjusted for lack of seasonal powers, of course.
  5. Pull some of the legendary aspects into the skill tree. Too many abilities need specific aspects just to function.

Expand on the seal door quest,
What was behind that door, why was it important to keep it sealed, totally could be a season event

Let us reset our tempering more then once
Put in a weapon upgrading system, such as takes 12 non ga items to make one with a ga, then so on to get 2-4 ga items
Add up to torment 8 difficulty but make the rewards better for each torment
Make it where torment levels are required to be done solo to unlock
Make it where every item has a chance to drop as a mythic quality item, and still be allowed to temper it
Add a shadow knight class
Let us use all 9 paragon boards, and enough paragon points to fill every board
Let us play the game how we want stop nerfing everything
