Which of these 2 builds is stronger and easier to use?
for endgame, not leveling
I’m leveling a chain lightning right now. It takes me like 10 minutes to kill an elite. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.
Ngl fireball looks so fun

Fireball. Chain Lightning isn’t fun. Total whiff; It was pretty obvious as soon as they revealed the power.
It should have been simple. Increase Chain Lightning damage by X%, where X is equal to the number of chain lightning arcs. 5 arcs → 500% more damage. Sometime simple and to the point.
the mechanic they went with is retarded.
Fireball is much easier to play because you get mana return on the unique gloves.
Chain Lightning needs heavy focus on mana, both mana pool and (re)generation, but once you have the gear it’s actually very fun and fast for farming.
In easier activities you can cast a few CL then just run and watch things around you get zapped to death, rinse and repeat.
I don’t know which is stronger but I can kill T7 council in 1 min with my CL sorc. I haven’t tried T8 yet.
3 bosses are way faster then 1 with CL, but i like to use it too.
Im actually on a new type of build. I try to combine with the overpower amulet and the aspect that grants exploding blood things on overpower hit. CL is great with guaranteed overpower because one use hits so often. I get hundreds of that blood things and that explosion damage helps a lot with bosses. I am far away from minmax, but i think that can fix the boss problem. You just have to use them carefully and not spam it
