Hydras were getting about every advantage theyâre going to get already in the beta.
I thought ice shards was pretty good to kill lots of things.
Sounds like you donât know anything about the sorc. 
did you miss the entire enhancement menu or something?
Hydra is the last thing I wanted to use and I was plowing stuff

I went with a frost lightning build and I was killing bosses just as fast, but I didnât use chain lightning as my main killer for bosses. I used arc lash, ice blades, lightning strike and unstable currents. I only use chain lightning as a mana drain.
I kind of agree with the nerf but not because it was overpowered on bosses and final dungeon guys. Instead it was extremely over powered on trash, once you frost novad, combining + core damage with + vulnerable damage. Trash was a guaranteed one shot. with Frost novaâs cd reduction and other cd reduction abilities you could essentially mow down trash assuming you had the mana.
and you had lvl 40 gear here? because the transfusion âglychâ make not balanced the game at all.

IE A return to early D 3 When the Monk,Barb Players Were Screaming Nerf All The Ranged Classes Because they Meeleeâs damage should be top dog over Ranged NVM That the Ranged Classes Paid for that being Glass Cannons and easily One Shotted by lowly any white minions and for a long time the Monk,Barb Players toons got nerfed whereupon they Rage Quit

No fooling. Had a blast using ice spells. Did well, killed Butcher the couple of times he spawned, cleared all the level 25+ plus content without ever touching hydra.
All these comments are from full on players. Casual players who login for an hour per day need a lazy build to get them through stuff. Thats why D3 is so good, Logon, do a few Nephalim rifts because you dont have to run around the landscape to find dungeons, then Logout. If you nerf a lazy build, you lose the casual players. Others who know this build is OP, can just change their build to something more challenging

calling lies on that one, most people play builds that are a) enjoyable and/or b) more powerful. I canât see too many people who play a build that is un-fun and extremely weak, just because.
Even D3âs reverse archon, unfun, hideously complex as a build can get, was absurdly powerful.
it felt relatively balanced in the beta because there were no good ways to have enough mana to spam it. if good mana regen is achievable later on it did need a nerf though.
they know more than i do so i cant complain until i see it.
*even that leggo to get mana return on it - it only really worked in 1v1 situations as it required bounces off yourself.
Maybe you should. You would know he killed diablo world first on hardcore inforno and only kill before nerfs. Before anyone els was able to. He is very smart and mathematically therycrafts builds. If you cannot understand his list and why then youâre a timmy jimmy bot.

I did go back and watch it. His video was good, reasoning was sound, his tier list was just god-awful. And by awful, just objectively wrong.
Sorc will be the most tanky class ever invented. there is a paricular build @endgame that is just completely broken.
And let me tell ya it is not CL or hydra or pure frost. You will not see that coming, but it will be glorious, especially for all the people that think a purist build is the way to go 
it seems that devs thought many people would want to play as sorc since not only they were fun and strong to play with, but also had the better looking female characters. i bet they wanted to find ways to force people to play as female obese druids lol by making sorcerer weak and crappy
