While boss are immune to CC ‘‘effect’’, it could still apply its tag and timer so it dosn’t kill combos. Exemple, If I would slow a boss for 4 sec, it still wont be slowed physicaly but any effect that works on slowed or crowd controled ennemy would still work during that 4sec.
Doesn’t CC make the stagger bar go up?
I though that was the point of it now on bosses.

yes the stagger is a thing, but it still makes useless a lots of skill and gear that affect only crowd controled
There are already several threads on this. Stagger is the compensation for boss cc immunity. Focus on staggering the boss, then unload. Or add a single-target damage skill to round out your build against bosses.

That’s a stretch. Most bosses aren’t alone and most of these skills still work just at less power outside of the stagger time (and then at increased power during it).

No. If you have Passive Skills that grant you 25% additional damage to Stunned enemies, the only time you get that 25% damage bonus is the short window when you are able to Stagger a Boss. The other time, it will not be Stunned and not ever trigger.

Nothing to fix, everything works, explained for example here:
TL DR: CC potency of your spells is directly increasing your stagger gain. High CC == high frequency boss stagger. All your bonuses against CCed target kicks in during stagger windows.
So again, nothing to fix, everything works fine, CC builds are completely viable efficient boss killers.
If it helps, lets stop calling it stagger bar but instead call it cc resistance bar that you are breaking through with your CC, because that’s how it works.

I highly doubt the rate that all of these conditional bonuses based on CC status is going to be offset by the short window where they will guaranteed trigger due to the Stagger Status.

If you have high CC potency and many skills with strong CC effects then you will stagger boss very, very often (in closed end game beta to point they had to nerf it, because boss went from stagger to stagger)

You put it perfectly. I find it funny that people call this game shallow but at the same time they fail to understand even basic obvious mechanisms.
call it what you want but as what we saw stagger lot of us think it is no where near compensation. Maybe you are the on to convince us, tell us what would be the serious well educated truth that you know so well

just to clarify stagger for you.
Correct me if im wrong, thats how i understood it by watching some videos on it. The wudijo one is especially helpful.
Each form of cc, has an internal cd when the enemy can be staggered increased by that effect again.
so for example you chill it, it increases stagger by 10%. but its immune to that effect for some secs .
So shotgunning stagger with a single cc isnt that good.
But combining 4 or 5 different cc effects is. In my example, if every cc increased it by 10% (not actual numbers, the actual cc varies in amount of stagger).
so after applying 5 different we are at 50%. At some point you can start this rotation again. Which lets you exactly time your stagger window.
Which you then can utilize by various means, ie burst. For example unstable currents of sorc.
