Not all people did the story in one go. Or understand the game (a lot of people are new to the D2 idea, and a big group of people came from D3).
I was lv40 and didnt have the lv30 potion because the crushed bones (CBB) didnt drop, and when i find other big animals (the bufalo like) finally did. Open world sometimes are not story drivens, and this game have this problem, or opportunity.
But the point some of Us, the one looking for get out of life of stress, that we want to calm in the Diablo IP… need some adjustment from previous automatic behavior we learn. And the first one is: you need to sell or smite the items, because gold drop its low, not like D3. You win money selling items, not farming it.
A good way, for me that Im not rushing at lv 45 without horse and less than 1M gold because I used in a lot of ways as Druid:
- Money/ Gold
- Sell the weapons and smite the rest. You need gold, farming it with mob killing is a poor decision.
- Some items change the properties and transform the ability. Dont let the opportunity to experiment if you like the ability with that change pass you because you are afraid of “money sink at reseting some points”.
- The game is not friendly with selling items like with smite them. But you can rebuy an item, but not de-smite one because massive smite muscular memory from D3.
- Drop to the floor the items you dont want to smite, smite, then take the items. No one can take it in solo mode.
- If you save some low level items, then imprinted them and smite at character lv40+ you win the new legendary materials that appear at 40+. (I really dont want experiment with create an alt to farm low yellow equipment, then imprint them, then smith with the 40+lv and profit… but i going to do it, because is less stress than not knowing if I can haha).
- Quality of Life abilities: flat heath and barrier for defensive ones, a mobility “let me out” one and perks that maximize the use of your basic attack. Me as druid, as an example for the LOLs and non stress:
- Flat Health is GOAT, Blood Howl is your friend (more with the imprint in your weapon that you going to discover). For potion spammers like me, is great.
- At early at some dungeon you going to have a print that give you a passive “barrier” every 30 sec for 8 sec (its a common one, for every class) that trigger at first hit. Thats is a free defensive slot ability. Save all the armor (you going to print a lot of armor with this) that you imprint, and smite them if needed at lv40+ for the new legendary materials.
- I use Storm Strike since i discover a mini ability tree that smite creeps every 18 sec and another smite of at lucky chance, and you really use a lot of basic attacks. Grosso modo, upgrade your basic ability with perks in the tree.
- DOT (damage over time) abilities. Vine Creeper is the best companion with the stun and poison, because melt the minions.
- Use Wolfs if you cant do a good management of incoming melee damage.
- Cheap Mobility and AoE abilities. Change it for the Trample because mobility is a need (great “let me out”, 16 second CD). the imprint ability transform it in AoE that shoot 6 Landslide (you can put points 3 point here for synergies) is the most awesome visual ability, and can be spamed at the tedious travelling Sim Game part)
- Dont use Druid Ultimate Skills, not funny to wait for Diablo 5 to recast. The game goes full slow with an ability less because you want to used in some situations and not every fight.
- If you use Earth or Storms spaming abilities, use the last abilitie of 20% chance to cast a same lv storm/earth ability). For example Trample* with the imprint goes Earth and Nature type.
- Items
- Look for poison resist equipment, poison is the Diablo Boss of this game. For you and Alt characters.
- For legendary materials, at 40+, best way is the gatcha merchant for whatever 40 coins with more than 280 in the pocket.
- The Crushe Beast Bones or CBB from the bufalos, not the bears. You can pack 3 or 4 some times. The CBB are used in a lot of consumibles.
