Casual suggestions destroying the game as usual

That’s exactly who was invited to closed beta though.

Perhaps

I can’t find it right now but I remember him explicitly saying that Blizz should make a Barber’s heart season where every build would be viable to kill Uber Lillith - which we all know how that ended up really. Like - that was his idea, there to be a mechanic which makes every build viable vs her, problem is everything else was left in the dumpster as a result of doing this

Then I also remember specifically Wudi saying that there should be level 150 Bosses in the game. Now, perhaps that’s not explicitly calling for powercreep, but they absolutely specifically focus and discuss on things to do AFTER hitting 100

Like - every single podcast is discussing that specifically. The theme is always about “more to do after hitting level 100” in every podcast there is - which not explicitly but definitely implicitly means powercreep

Also, Rax said in that specific time window I want my Chain Lightning not be a single cast but a giant storm cloud that zaps everything. I know he was trying to mention a skill alteration sample but his example isn’t that “modest” in that regard really

Again, they always focus on the top, top, top tier stuff, exclusively, like the game doesn’t have other 99 levels in it and that there aren’t any issues with it

Perhaps they can “no life it” in 4 days, but that’s super far from representing the reality, the game has to get better earlier, arguably as early as lvl60, heck I even remember one of them (I think it was Modz or Kripp) saying explicitly that there’s a big void between levels 70 and 99 and that “increased XP accumulation” would address it

Misinterpretation on your part as well. He did not actually state that he wanted the grind to 100 to take longer. He said he wanted more pinnacle content. He wants to blast to max level but not in 5 seconds and THEN he wants more content for the 1%.

Yes, there should be content to do at 100, although any content left will be menial. But that’s the problem. Once leveling is over, everything ALWAYS becomes menial in terms of progression. It’s WHY ARPG’s get boring in the first place. Once change and power growth bell curves out, people see less reason to continue. When there’s no room for growth, we leave. So Blizzard needs to first acknowledge that there must almost always continue to be growth in at least some aspect, or at least a single goal to aspire to. Right now, there is neither. A goal that should take even the most dedicated no-lifers ALMOST an entire season to get if they WANT to, but not one that would make such an immense difference in their character, that players that CANT dedicate that much time to getting would care. Like that last skill/stat points point in d2 for level 99. Vastly unneeded, but wanted by a few.

With no end chase, the game dies before it starts.

That’s what I’m trying to get them to realize. The MAJOR challenges need to start occuring in the low 80s and low 90s ranges, and we need to NOT progress through those levels so quickly. It ruins the game.

Ubers should be approachable in the upper 80s to low 90s, and an exceedingly difficult challenge for EVERY class, with NO way to even REMOTELY 1 shot any of them, even at 100. This begs for one of the bigger balance issue to be addressed - paragon and how it doesn’t start to shape a lot of classes massive power structure out until they’re basically almost fully built out at level 100. Glyphs for some classes are too powerful and for other classes, almost useless by comparison in terms of power. That needs to be addressed. It created a chasm of disparity between classes that was never looked at.

I didn’t say he did, so no, not misinterpretation on my part. I quoted his video word for word.

And so is the case with the exact opposite - overly-focusing on that “end chase”. Like make no mistake whatsoever in this

That’s just a consequence, like that shouldn’t even be the focus on things. The bigger problem is knight at lvl25 fights the same as a knight of level 100, insert same vampire, bear, spider, e.t.c., like literally the SAME THINGS happen for 80+ levels all the time

Did you hear any of those “pros” address this ?, that game needs some kind of mob evolution ?, nope, all they say is “level 150 bosses”, like, come on even you can’t deny it

And no, there’s not a single casual that wants the game to play like a drug addict for 200 hours before actual content starts/begins. Perhaps HC is there for this purpose but HC does the absolute wrong thing - hard-punish a mistake instead of present challenges (or at least challenges that don’t require 300 hours “pregrind” to be doing), in other words present jeopardy from “bottom” instead of “from the top”

Yes, there were some “requests” from some more casual people like nerf butcher or something similar, but those never happened nor were big requests to begin with. The absolute vast majority of “feedback” and actual changes (including big/potentially-big mistakes) were done by pros, could we at least admit this ?

No, because the vast majority of “pros”, full time streamers, etc, are vehemently screaming at the top of their lungs right now that the changes have been horrible and the game is too easy. The overwhelming consensus is the game is too easy. The pros didn’t ask for this absurd power kick. Nobody with half a brain would ever ask for this much overpowered garbage. The only place the requests for power came from are the people who have no time to play but wanted to be able to get through the game easier / faster / with less resistance. When the patch came out, the “pro’s” made youtube videos about a reddit post that was making fun of how “Blizzard is really good at listening to their players, then doing the EXACT opposite”.

You linked a video you GROSSLY misinterpreted arguing that pros are asking for more power, when in fact your own linked video said EXACTLY the opposite in clear and concise English, you just somehow misunderstood it, so clearly your understanding of which group of people are asking for what is confused. Your arguments were already invalidated because of this. At this point I suggest you reevaluate who is causing the problem and start paying attention better.

Pros didn’t need the game to be easier. It was already too freaking easy for most people, and them especially.

You know what we asked for right ?, build diversity and no “meta” (at least as much as possible), that’s what we wanted

Not having a build that does 20x-30x-50x the damage you’d go for, but keeping builds within reach of 2x-3x-4x tops but that’s absolutely not what we got

S1 had a group of “top tier” builds all focused on one single mechanic in the background (Crit & Vuln multipliy each other) and Barber’s Heart that increased that multiplier by yet another double-digit amount

We wanted THAT gone. Absolutely noone asked to one-shot everything, like, noone asked for that

And let’s be frank at least about one thing - if blaming then blame those that have an actual impact on decisions, not the voiceless ones that barely anyone listens to, ever

When you ask for leveling to be faster, and complain about dungeon grinds being too long, and ask for more powerful items, that’s EXACTLY what you’re asking for. When you simultaneously scream at nerfs to classes that deserved them like the sorc nerf, and throw a temper tantrum at something that should have been allowed to happen, you’re saying the same thing, just in different words. Casuals said/asked for ALL that. Not pros / hardcore grinders.

They DID listen to the casuals. That’s the problem. They just keep listening to these casual crap players that do nothing good for the game, when the only thing that’s going to make this game better is to make it monumentally more difficult and properly spaced out and objective oriented than it was, much less the cr@p show it is now.

I think people need to come to grips with majority money rules.
Sorry you thought you were important.

Blizzard decides what they will act on, If it doesn’t favor what you wanted…well buy a clue. It cost less than the expansion and cosmetics.

I personally hate the way this game has turned. I don’t feel it is a game anymore. So I won’t be spending any money pre ordering garbage. I will wait. You need to come to grips with this yourself.

this sorc nerf, which nerf is this you speak of? im genuinely curious cuz i cant remember an specific nerf that was to only sorcs. unless you mean pre-release reducing enchantments to only 2…which made sense. but other than that the nerfs that hit sorc, kinda hit everyone.

You named 4 things each with it’s own different background

Leveling needed be faster ?, maybe, noone hinted at increasing mob density to deal with that problem explicitly except Raxx, his impatience and his constant feedback of “why would I stop doing an event” and “waiting for 3 seconds for 5 mobs to appear” & stuff

Dungeon grinds being too long ?, nope, noone complained that. What people did complain about however is too much repetitiveness of doing NMD after NMD all the time. In other words they complained about boredom, not necessarily length, it’s Blizz that took the path of least resistance to “fix” that but apparently still not yet properly done

More powerful items weren’t in anyone’s menu either. Like, we didn’t force Blizz to increase IP numbers for S2, they alone did that, and the reason why they did it is cause of “more top tier material” pressure. Which to be frank can come from both sides but mainly pros do those “wishlists” more often than not

When nerfs happen it’s always the pros/YT/streamers that scream “OMG nerf” again, guys these bozo’s don’t know what they’re doing

They lead that bandwagon and the outcry, always. Yes casuals can cry OMG nerf as well but they act as individuals and make a thread that may or may not get some traction, whatever

BUT - once a Raxx or Quinn or whoever’s video comes up and says “NERFS? - they don’t know what they’re doing again” that’s when entire waves of over/reactions occur

And what’s the point when someone else later does another video explaining potential reasons for nerf or justifications for it (like a C-/B+ YT-er/streamer) when the initial damage has already been done

You could at least admit that one

This is just a clever ploy to get ppl to watch your faceroll stream where you will die a horrible death to environment or butcher or I guess boredom?

Did you make a ball sorc and get mad because everything is too easy?

Invent a new build without using streamers or any info online. Make some off meta builds good. Do something besides claiming a grand conspiracy and saying the end is near because of casuals. Game is much improved since season 1 but still has a long ways to go.

People kept asking for “consistent upgrades” and not feeling any after lvl80. So now there’s another tier to chase from 80-100.

between duriel, wb, and nmd’s i had my 925’s before level 80…so if that is the actual reasoning behind this it was implemented poorly.

That is true but they just increased numbers. They didn’t add a “tier”, they just keep rolling same stuff as before but with a bit of powercreep, actually a lot of powercreep like 2.5x the DPS numbers than IP of 820

And b.t.w. if we’re honest they haven’t fix that yet, it’s just people not noticing it as much

I’m currently lvl85 with gear equipped with over IP 850, have had the IP weapons of 925 for quite some time, like probably for 5-6 levels, but we don’t care cause it’s uber bosses fight time

Blizzard does what they want when they want , they don’t listen to you or anybody else.

No matter what you call people.
