Capstone 4. What am i doing wrong?

So. I cant finish this Capstone Dungeon, no matter what i do.
I breeze through WT3 content, i do nightmare dungeons up to 20+, i solo everything, but as soon as i set foot into the capstone dungeon, every elite instantly oneshots me.
Im playing sorc, itemlevel close to / around 700, plenty of uniques, build based around frost nova and chain lightning.
I feel like i dont really suck at diablo, but something in there always instantly kills me. i dont even reach any boss.
wtf?

The big guys do a one shot ice blast frontal you need to kinda move around em and not be in front. Also more armor and damage reduction if possible.

You need to build your character with more defensive stats. Sorcs can face tank those mobs and the boss and never move.

Try the firewall build for sorc. It has the most survivability.

Found the problem, its a level 73+ area you arnt leveled for the content. Go farm more sorry. You could also be like the 99% of the other players in the game and get carried by someone through it and get wt4 unlocked then have the same issues when you go try to farm in t4.

I’d invest in more armor if I were you. That was legitimately my only problem on Necro for this dungeon.

Why would i have other people play my game for me? Na, i at least wanna try it myself. But are you sure about 73+ ? It shows the monsters as 70+ for me there.

tbf its definetly possible to do it 60+ but that will definetly make it more gear dependant i did it on lvl 60 with my barb but the last boss took like 15+ trys xD

I did it at 58 on my necro. Just need to pay attention to the animation they do before the cone, which IIRC is similar to hitting the ground to the side twice with their mace.

Died about 4 times clearing, but was able to 1-shot the final boss.

So yeah, pretty much just avoid their cone, or accept that you’ll die to it and keep trying.

You need to spec more defensively, i remb when i was there i get 1 shotted left and right as well.

If using the advise of a Youtuber is “have other people play my game for me”, isn’t that also what people on the forums are equally doing when answering your question?

You’re underleveled and need to invest more in defense. Kripp explains defensive layers in multiple videos.

Its a level 70 capstone I did it at level 68 with many deaths and was not geared for it. Im just saying that gear & build matter. I love the fact you dont want someone to do it for you. My recommendation is run a ranged build like hydra with all the defensive skills and just kite her till she is dead. Some people have done it at level 58 but again they die countless times for a reward they shouldnt be getting till minimum level of 70.

If you can do it before level 70 great means you got good gear and a good build.

The level isn’t the issue. The World Tier 4 capstone dungeon has been cleared by people as low as level 58, I literally cleared it on my Ice Shard Sorc 2 nights ago at level 60. If the OP is struggling this much on just the trash in the dungeon, they have zero chance against the boss.

As for the OP, In your situation I would just continue to grind in world tier 3, get better gear and spec into a Ice Shard build, CL after level 50 falls off really hard, you’ll have a much easier time with a Ice Shard build.

I had a few cold enchanted ranged elites. they killed me once. A poison enemy killed almost instantly for some reason. i had to quickly kill those 2 elites. i died twice on the boss because i ran out of potions. I abandoned caution and tried to do as much damage as quickly as i could fo the 3rd attempt. the boss got stunned near 25% hp and i killed him. lvl 67.

oh, i wasnt referring to the video. i like guides. i was refering to being pulled through the dungeon by another player.
