Anyone else having this bug? I cant open any boss chests and the events and event timers are not displaying in the map. Cant really progress at all now.

Do you have the mats to open the chest?
Because you pay in season 8 not for the summoning, you pay for opening the chest with the summoning materials.

I have the mats. The bug is that I cant open the chest at all. I cant even highlight the object when my mouse is over it. The same bug goes to the map UI. It doesnât show events and the timers for the events. The only boss that works is Grigoire for some reason.

same i been trying to open the chest and i cant. ive killed all the bosses and they wont work and yes i have mats im not new to the game im in the same boat that ur in

This must be the âquality over quantityâ loot fix they were talking about.
I am also on a Computer and CANT OPEN Chest.
It appears that if anyone opens it before I do then I cant open it.
The other issue is when I have it open and someone clicks on it, MINE Closes and I dont get to select the BOSS and then OPEN. âBeliel BUGGGEDâ Duriel is doing the samething as well.
I am reinstalling the WHOLE D4 game to see if it helps but i doubt it.
BLIZZARD I am on FIBER OPTICS and you have me download speeds of 2MB⌠I have never seen this download speed since the late 1990âs. What the HECK

Cant Open any chest from any Boss which is just dumb and yes before you ask i have a bunch of the necessary materials to open them. I have tried what Blizz would say normal TSG repair and if needed re-install. Same thing stuck on this, the amount that its already needed to farm is bad with the Season 8 but not having access to the rewards that you are farming for is just taking the piss and this has been going on for days now and still nothing. Great Job
See patch notes on this I think.

Huge issues going on today before tomorrows live patch. I died in T3 Infernal hordes (never died before) each wave. There was so much lag that i kept teleporting around the room.

Although I have been enjoying season 8, I am not happy with some very annoying bug issues, including the heavy Fog and Dust weather effects that hinders visual game play more than any other game I ever played, and this doesnât even include the screwed up and very messed up move by Blizzard to ruin the Battle Pass by charging us the same price for much less rewards, 500 less platinum and even one month less in game play time for season 8! Just very bad overall!
As for the chests after boss kill, I had a similar scenario happen twice yesterday. Imagine a gaming company such as Blizzard to have such bad and ridiculous red tape BS added even after a player(s) successfully kills a boss in Diablo IV and gets NO reward whatsoever! That is very Bad!
Who the hell in the D4 Team comes up with such crappy game ideas for D4!? Itâs just awful and not rewarding! Itâs just a damn waste of time, grind and game play and now it seems like itâs bugged too! Terrible, very disappointing and Bad!
Get it the hell together, Blizzard D4 Team! What the hell is this!? Youâre going backwards instead of forward in progress to improve and fix the game! You can do better, especially after taking our money for Diablo IV - the infamous broken, buggy beta game you sold us, which is still in beta!
Even though the game has improved since it launched in June 2023, a lot more needs to be done to fix and improve it!
For example: The game Mount mechanics are still clunky and awful and get stuck on anything when a player is traveling, and the worst part is how damn slow the mount is, too! Players can run faster than the damn buggy clunky mount for crying out loud! The Mount needs to be faster and much better than the garbage buggy mount mechanic that is still in the game, and for all of your fancy cosmetics selling mounts, you need to fix them so the mounts run properly in the game for all D4 players!
There is a lot more as we all know, but the worst of all is the damn unnecessary and messed up mass nerfs and screwing over players and their progress and now itâs confirmed Blizzard is using A.I. to âassistâ with art, design and coding! Wow! That is bad news and very telling. Stop being so damn lazy, Blizzard D4 Team, and make Diablo IV better and fix these damn problems in the game already! They are way past due!
Itâs been almost 2 years and still a lot has not been fixed and improved, and D4 remains in Beta! You do NOT Need A.I. to make Diablo IV better, unless you seriously lack creativity, the coding knowledge, and clear direction for the game for your loyal customers, and if so that would be worse than Bad! I still believe you can do better, Blizzard Team!

You may be on fiber optics but there could be a stretch of tin can wires between Blizzard and your ISP.
Being facetious, but itâs pretty stupid of people to keep acting like the internet just magically ignores space between Blizzard and their ISP.

This sounds like a season ending bug. I know how pissed I would be if it was happening.

What are you talking about⌠it has nothing to do with Internet Connection with opening chest. The message was also related to throttling 3MB per sec to install D4 which uses a lot of power for no Reason. Blizzard use to not throttle downloads and allowed direct download from the Website for CPU Users. âTin Cansâ What?
Items are generated and saved server-side to prevent hacking. Opening chests does involve network.
Your fiber-optic cables only stretch between you and your ISP. The network pathways between your ISP and Blizzardâs servers are immense and varied and subject to all sorts of signals degradation. The fact that you immediately assume the servers are the issue and point out to the short part of the signal path that you are actually paying for as so gosh darn good means you donât know a damn thing about how the internet works and just want to be mad at Blizzard.
