So just got a ring with a good GA for my build and wanted to masterwork it just to be denied by the game…
Yes, it was literally picked and used by the same character…
I happened to reroll one non-GA affix of item, as a I did with many other masterkworked items.
So what’s the issue that Blizzard invented now?

You have to temper it before MW. Both rolls for ancestral gear. Thats probably it.
That might actually be it, I haven’t tempered and wasn’t playing for like a week. Let me try it. Thanks
you have to fully temper legendaries - as in both categories - before you can masterwork.
Yep, got it now. I used to do it so automatically that I didn’t even realize it was really a requirement. Now that I have 10+ resetting scrolls I just didn’t bother tempering before as I want to check the difference in affixes between items at 4* masterwoking
