Purchased the Ultimate edition however I can’t download it. “We are having trouble getting your stuff. Check back later”. If I switch it to Deluxe then I’m offered the base game download.

I’m in a similar situation. I think as long as you have at least the standard edition installed and purchased the ultimate we should be fine.
I think that the deluxe and ultimate purchases are just flags on our account with Blizzard to show what we purchased and have access to those version(s). The game client itself should be identical across the standard/deluxe/premium version of Diablo IV.

Did you get a mesage from Microsoft on xbox messenger yet? I got one right at 4pm pst thanking me for my pre order and it was available to download. I was able to start downloading it right away.

If you pre downloaded Diablo 4 on the xbox go to your manage screen for Diablo 4 and check for updates. I had trouble as well but found it , the update is around 75 gig on xbox series x

I have the Deluxe Edition so i have the Base game plus the added extras for Deluxe. Since you have Ultimate you have the Base game plus the extras from Deluxe and the extras from Ultimate

Same on Series S, for the ultimate version.
On the console store, it say that i possess all 3 version.
I can’t download even the base game if i manage the ultimate version from the store, with the error, but i can download the base game, if i manage the normal or deluxe version from the store, BUT no deluxe content.
Also, no update available if i manage the game.
Also, heard on reddit, the deluxe edition and ultimate edition content, isn’t a separate download or anything. When the game goes live, and when we boot up the game, and on the menu, should get like a notice or something, letting us know, that you bought this edition, here is your stuff or something like that.

I couldn’t download D-4 on Xbox One when I clicked on the deluxe edition which is what I purchased but -it let me download when I clicked on the standard D-4-

This is normal, nothing to worry about. The Deluxe and Ultimate stuff isn’t, usually, downloads but just flagging your account to access it.
Other games don’t download the special stuff until launch.

Noone is talking about the special stuff, we talk about the base game not downloading like it should, unless we download another version.
Other game let us download the base game, if the dlcs bonuses are already in the game.

The ultimate version we bought download nothing (can’t find your stuff), and we need to download the deluxe.
The deluxe version other bought do the same, they need to download the standard version.
The console store do everything wrong.
Even after downloading the base game from other version, the Ultimate version don’t even see the download.

I’ve had the same situation with multiple games. Flight Simulator, bought the big version. To this day I can only download the base version but when I start the game, everything from the higher tier versions is present.
Unless I’m not understanding what you mean. I wouldn’t worry about it. The base version is the same for all 3 versions.

I hopped on last night and went to my Ultimate edition, since I had the 348 MB preorder installed, instead of going to the MS store, I went to that file and noticed it hadn’t updated yet. I went ahead, hard rebooted my Xbox, by holding the home button on the controller and going to RESTART (which will clear system cache). When it booted up again, I went back to updates and BAM D4 was there and starting to download. The other way to clear cache is, you can hold your Xbox power button for 8-10 seconds and it will completely power off. Give it a bit and turn it back on, then check for updates.
As for the MS Store, i did go there and like others have said, it popped up an error, but as long as you have it pre-ordered, all 3 options, Standard, Del, and Ult, those will flag your account and your goodies will come when game launches. Try the steps above and see if it helps. Good luck!
Steps in order for readability if you cannot download:

Restart your Xbox by holding the home button on the controller and choosing restart or holding the power button for 8-10 seconds and waiting a few seconds.

Go to your games and Apps, if you have the Pre-order D4 installed, then check it for updates.

I also had the 348 MB Diablo version installed long time ago. Today i started my Xbox and wanted to pre-download the full version. Strangly the 75 GB have already been installed.
Did that happen during the Slam? Maybe ghosts… nevertheless i deleted it and made a fresh download. But it ended up the same size.
I will have to call X-Files.

Similar situation here.
Bought Deluxe edition for XBOX X, says “We are having trouble getting your stuff right now”. Download size is 75gb, which is the size of the base game I believe, which apparently is the same size for ALL editions, if you check the info box in the version page.
Hopefully the difference is basically that our accounts are flagged as holders of Deluxe/Ultimate editions and we’ll get access tomorrow, as we should. And obviously our goodies as well.

Then don’t download it from there when it’s much easier to download it from game library.

Ultimate here.
It pre loaded then started updating to the full file, if the preload is already in games, it should start updating on its own.
So i actually first purchased standard edition on june 1st…today. i got the error that says we can’t find your stuff check back later. Rebooted xbox and nothing. So i paid for ultimate extra 30 dollars to upgrade to it from standard (says 70% off if you already bought standard) Same thing though. When i go to manage game it cannot find my stuff. I don’t even have the diablo4 icon in my full game library after clicking the install when i purchased it.
My Fix: logged into xbox app on phone. Went to my full games library and at least the icon was there. Installed from there to my console. Said it was waiting on my console. I went and turned it on and low and behold diablo 4 started to install…at 22% and waiting to see if it considers me as having ultimate after paying for it a few hours after buying standard edition.
Had this issue too. But now downloading! Only 5 hours after scheduled.
Was excited to see my D4 Ultimate edition “Smart Downloaded” at 9am Australian EST but this didnt happen.
PROBLEM:
Ultimate download doesn’t show under Manage.
SOLUTION:
Choose Standard edition and Download appears.
Not very “Smart” Blizzard and Xbox.
Why do you intentionally do it more difficult for yourself?
Always install through game library or mobile app. Only time you should consider installing through store is when you just bought something.
Resolved,
Went to the edition I pre-ordered, scrolled down to “included in this bundle” section and clicked on the game. It refreshed the “manage this game” area and allowed me to download.
